Barbarians are the people of the wilderness, often dubbed as primitive by the "civilized" cultures. The warriors of the barbarians are strong, agile, and in some cases, extremely ruthless depending on their tribe. They are excellent shots with a bow, as that is how they obtain food on the plains, else they would not eat. The rangers of the barbarian clans are extremely stealthy, with the ability to hunt and forage that is unsurpased by any of their human kin, and admired by even the elves. Not knowing much about the workings of steel or iron, most of their equipment is rudamentary items such as fur, or stone tipped weapons, though most tribes have been able to trade for steel weapons. Their armor is usually leather or furs, and though they covet the steel weapons, they shun the steel or iron armor, deeming it too noisy and cumbersome for their needs. Distrustful of magic that is not from their shaman, barbarians see the magic of the "civilized" world as being evil and untrustworthy, even that of the white robes they view skeptically. They do not trust large cities, and avoid them, venturing there only to trade or when they are in need of something in an emergency, such as food or weapons.
