Hi! Welcome to the Iori Yagami faq for Capcom vs. SNK: Millenium Fight 2000!
I just want to get out of the way that this is the first faq I have ever
written, so if I mess up a lot, please give me some credit. I have been an
avid gamefaqs.com user for a while now, but have never submitted any faqs,
until Capcom made this extrodinary game. I have been waiting for a big
version of one of my favorite fighting games of all time, SNK vs. Capcom:
Match of the Millenium for some time now and just knew I had to import
this one. The reason I chose Iori to do the faq on was because Capcom spent
a lot of time on him, every move animation is top notch and all of his moves
very very cool. So, a gift from a AMerican who doesn't understand Japanese,
but hell with it anyway, to you. Enjoy!

Want this faq? Just send me a E-mail to let me know you want it and I will
gladly hand it over to you, just put some credit on whatever you put it on
please!

Chapter II  IORI'S MOVELIST
============================================================================

First off, here is the legend that you will need to follow to read the
movelist properly. I use the traditional movelist legend that most faq
writers use because I am use to it.

MOVELIST LEGEND:
qcf = quarter circle forward (d, df, f)
qcb = quarter circle back (d, db, b)
hcf = half circle forward (b, db, d, df, f)
hcb = half circle back (f, df, d, db, b)
dp = dragon punch motion (f, d, df)
bdp = backward dragon punch motion (b, d, db)
- = charge (hold that direction 2 seconds)
360 = full circle
720 = two full circles
* = denotes Super Attacks
P = any punch
K = any kick
PP = both punches
KK = both kicks
LP = light punch
HP = hard punch
LK = light kick
HK = hard kick

HOW TO READ IORI'S MOVES:

(JAPANESE MOVE NAME)/(AMERICAN MOVE NAME)
(MOVE COMMAND)
(MOVE SUMMARY)
(FIRST APPEARANCE)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BASIC MOVES
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
LP: Quick jab
HP: Slashes inward
LK: Quick kick
HK: Back kick

LP (Close): Gut jab
HP (Close): Clawing uppercut
LK (Close): Low slide kick
HK (Close): Big Boot

F+WK: Axe kick

LP low: Jabs
HP low: Claws up
LK low: Quick low kick
HK low: Kicks with both feet

LP Jump: Comes down fist first
HP Jump: One handed hammer blow
LK Jump: Jumps with sidekick
HK Jump: Strong back kick

Roll: WP+WK
Throw (F+HP or F+HK): Grabs gut and claws upward
Taunt: Bends forward, smiles
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
SPECIAL MOVES:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
108 Shiki·Yami Barai/Fireball
qcf+P
Iori throws a purple traditional SNK ground fireball.
King of Fighters '95

100 Shiki·Oniyaki/Dark Thrust
dp+P
Iori jumps in the air with his arm spread out, a purple flame swoops up with him.
This move looks really cool in this game, although if you hit someone while they
are blocking, the flame rises up without Iori, a minor glitch.
King of Fighters '95

127 Shiki·Aoi Hana/Deadly Flower
qcb+P (x3)
A three hit combo that can hit from pretty far away. Very nice combo, the last hit
is unblockable too.
King of Fighters '95

212 Shiki·Kototsuki In/Crescent Moon Shade
hcb+K
Runs across the screen and hits the opponent in the gut with his elbow. If connected,
his other arm will grab the opponents head and smash it into the ground, erupting
their face into purple flame.
King of Fighters '95

Kuzu kaze/Scum Gale
hcb, f+P (close)
Grabs the opponent and moves him to the other side of himself. A semi useless move.
King of Fighters '96

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
SUPER MOVES (SDM TO ALL KING OF FIGHTERS)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Ura 108 Shiki·Ya Sakazuki/Drunken Grail Gasher (AKA Eight Wine Cups)
qcb, hcf+P (hold P to delay)
Does the Fireball animation, but shoots a very tall purple pillar of death. If it
connects, it stuns the opponents for you to follow up with another move.
Level 1: Shoots one pillar. Little damage.
Level 2: Shoots four pillars. Little damage.
Level 3: Shoots eight pillars, nearly goes full screen. Little damage.\
King of Fighters '96

*1211 Shiki·Ya Otome/Maiden Masher (AKA Eight Shrine Maiden)
qcf, hcb+P
One of the greatest remakes of a move ever, read below:
Level 1: The original level 1 from KoF. Does 8 hits of clawing and punching, then
grabs opponents shoulders with arms crossed and makes explosion for the 9th hit.
Takes off about 15% life.
Level 2: Does 9 hits of clawing and punching, grabs face and takes them to the
ground by the opponents face, like 212 Shiki·Kototsuki In, then makes 3 purple
flame explosions, 12 hit combo total. Takes off about 20% life.
Level 3: This move is my favorite: Does 8 hits of clawing and punching, then grabs
opponent by the shoulders and takes them down to the ground. Gets into a sort of
standing CPR postition and makes 4 purple explosions on the opponents Upper torso,
then raises hands in the air and smashes down on opponent with a big explosion for
almost 30% damage.
King of Fighters '95

CHAPTER III OROCHI IORI'S (AKA RIOT OF THE BLOOD IORI) MOVELIST
============================================================================
For those of you who don't know, Orochi Iori is Iori with his Orochi blood awakened.
He first appeared in King of Fighters '97 and has since appeared in this game and
the pocket version, SNK vs. Capcom: Match of the Millenium. He usually is not to
different from the normal Iori like Ryu is to Evil Ryu, but is much stronger and
faster. He may not be worth the 7000 vs points and may not be worth a ratio 4,
but we all know your going to buy him anyway :)

You can open up Orochi Iori by beating the game with Iori in SNK-groove and then
purchasing him in secret mode for 7000 vs. points.

Note: The same move legend apply's here.

Iori pulls off a Ken and does a series of Uppercuts, but with 100 Shiki·Oniyaki.
Level 1: Does it 2 times, four hits, 20% damage.
Level 2: Does it 2 times, six hits, 25% damage.
Level 3: Does it 3 times totalling for 7 hits, 35% damage.

Chapter IV MOVES THAT WERE LEFT OUT
============================================================================
These moves are not included in CvsS:MF2k. I thought I should list them:

311 Shiki: Tsumagushi
dp+ K
In this move, Iori jumps forward with a lunging arm and slashes down on the
opponent. Not a very popular move, but still welcome.
King of Fighters '99

Ura 311 Shiki: Saku Tsumagushi
qcf, qcf+K)
This move was first made in King of Fighters Evolution (Which Capcom seems to
think never existed, because they have nothing from that game) and substituted
Ura 108 Shiki·Ya Sakazuki. No one really liked it substituting, so SNK added
both moves plus the Maiden Masher in KoF 2000. Basically, Iori jumps forward,
grabs the opponents head, smashes it in the ground, then rises up with a
Dark Thrust. Holding on to the opponent still, he spins around a few more
times and causes some mini purple explosions.
King of Fighters '99

============================================================================
Chapter V    OTHER STUFF
============================================================================
You can buy this stuff in the secret mode:
#16: Iori's extra color's, Press LP+HP, LP+LK, HP+HK, or HK+LP to select.
Beat the game with Iori in SNK-groove to unlock.
Cost: 200 vs.

#49: Orochi Iori, Beat the game with Iori in SNK-groove to unlock.
Cost: 7000 vs.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you are Iori and fight one of these people, a intro will happen.
vs M.Bison (Vega): Iori has his back to Bison while Bison taunts him. Iori
                   turns around and shoots a fireball at Bison, which he
                   hops over and laughs.
vs Kyo: They show their respective flames while taunting one
                   another.

Chapter VI   CLOSING
============================================================================
Man! That was easier than I thought! Maybe I will write another faq on Ryo
or Terry or something in the future. I hope you enjoyed my first piece of work.
