This will eventually take you through the whole game. This should be fine. My note: Mallow's magic REALLY makes Land's End easier. If he isn't level 14 by the whirlpools, buy the Exp. Booster in Seaside.

Bowser's Keep(first visit)
- Try to avoid the Terrapins. You won't get experience, more likely you'll get hurt.
- Jump the Kinklink twice. See the section on Mario's timed hits for more info.
Mario's Pad
- Talk to Toad. Do as he says, but remember to save the game (there's no way to avoid it[??])
- Bowser's keep is inaccessable. Talk to Toad again and follow him. Tell him you know how to use items, etc. Then use the Fungi Lamp in Mario's house to recover that one HP.
Mushroom Way
- Fight every monter you see, ESPECIALLY if you see Toad with them. He'll reward you. When you find the spinning flower and three plateus, take the plateus left to right.
- Be on level 2 before the Hammer Bros! This is important because on level one they will be able to kill you. Do a timed jump attack to one, then the other. Alternating between them makes the fight faster.
Mushroom Kingdom(first visit)
- To get the hidden treasure (this is your ONLY chance) Jump on Toad's head in the first hall and up on top of the door. (Trust me~)
- Talk to the Chancellor, and see the Vault Guard. He'll give you some stuff.
- Outside the castle, Croco will run by, and Mallow will run by.
- Go shopping. Talk to the guy twice. Buy Shirt, Pants, and equip them along with the hammer. Buy a few Honey Syrups and mostly Mushrooms and Pick Me Ups. You won't need any Able Juice where you're going next.
- Follow Croco to the outskirts of town. REALLY too bad about the Bazooka, eh?
Bandit's Way
- Tag Croco! Hit all enemies you can, try to be level 4 by Croco at minimum. For the enemies, a hammer hit and Mallow's Thunderbolt will clean up the harder K-9s and Froggogs.
- Use Fire Orb on Croco once. After that, use timed Jumps and regular attacks. Have Mallow use items. After the battle, take the Warp trampoline, save, and exit. NOTE: When Croco uses a Weird Mushroom you are about 2/3 done with him.
Mushroom Kingdom... again
- Fight all of the Shysters outside the castle. *This includes inside the houses* Many will reward you. Give the guy back his wallet. You'll get a Flower Tab and later a Frog Coin.
- Inside the castle, be sure to talk to everyone. You can go into the vault, too. The boxes have been refilled. When you see Toad running across the front hall, block the Shyster. Follow Toad, and clear his paths.
- In Toadstool's room, talk to her Grandmother and save the game. Now be on at least level six with all. Head for the throne room.
- Use Mallow's Thunderbolt to wipe out the Bodyguards. If there are ever Bodyguards, take them out this way otherwise Mack will jump out of battle and recover some HP. Mario's Super Jump is VERY effective. Do it a lot.*
- Pick up the Cricket Pie from the shop.
- Explore everything. Fight the pandorite for the Trueform Pin. Equip it on Mario.
- Don't leave until you find the magic star.
- When you hit the magic button, don't jump on the Trampoline. Instead, jump off of the ledge and use that pipe. Now take the pipe that was once underwater.
- You can't get to that treasure box up in the rafters until later. Get the other and save the game.
- Use Super Jump on Belome, and make sure Mario has the Trueform pin. When Belome eats Mallow, go on as usual and Super Jump. He has about 500 HP.
Midas River
- Keep jabbing the "B" button. Get every coin possible. Don't hit any of the holes.
- Here's a rough map of the barral event(please pardon mistakes; HTML isn't the greatest medium when you don't have a pic):

- After completion, you'll recieve the Nok-nok shell for Mario.
- Walk up to the rock in the center of the pond. Jump when asked.
- You'll talk to Frogfucious. He'll fill you in. After that depressing music plays, talk to him again. Don't forget to equip the Froggy stick.
Melody Bay
- I am musical myself, and alas, never understood why no one could figure this out on their own. Ah, well.
- Frogfucious's Suite #18: So La Mi Re Do Re Do Re
- Moleville Blues: Mi Do So Do Re La Ti Do
- Monstro Town Star: La Ti Do Re So Do Re Mi
- I hope you aren't tone deaf because you get to write the last line yourself.
- The Platforms are yellow when you are allowed to jump off. Find the outlet at the "top" of Rose Way. You must go through there before the plats. will take you to the way out.
- The Koopa Troop seems... interesting... You can leave now.
Rose Town
- Everyone is getting hit by arrows that make them freeze in place. Take shelter by ducking in the inn.
- Play with Gaz. This part is cool.
- That's Geno. He's a really good character. Follow him.
- Before leaving Rose Town, save the man who's house is on the hill. Don't get the treasure boxes yet.
- Now go to the forest.
- Make your way in as far as the Save Block. TIPS: When there is no path, go down a stump as you would a pipe. Bother all the sleeping Wigglers.
- When you get to the area with four paths, first pull the "left left straight right" stunt. Note you have to make two left turns, then go straight, then a right turn from Mario's perspective. On your screen, just take the following paths(these aren't turns): Left, Down, Down, Left.
- Now follow Geno.
- Bowyer may take awhile, but is fairly consistant. Try not to let him turn off the "X" button. Now you have the second star!*
- Go back to Rose Town and talk to Gaz. He'll give you Geno's weapon free.
- Now proceed to Moleville. Shop now, because you'll lose your money. Find out what's been going on. Then go into the mines.
- You can walk around now, but ultimately, you have to jump on the trampoline. Then Croco will come steal all your money.
- Chase Croco, but find and beat all the flunkies first.
- Save your MP, because about 2/3-3/4 way through, he'll take your items. Use regular attacks, used time blocking, and Mallow's HP rain should pull you through. Don't let anyone fall.
- Take the bomb to Pa Mole. He's in the back. He'll blast through for you.
- Work your way through the mines. You'll see Punchinello, and you can even see the star, but you can't get to it.
- Zap the Micro Bombs with Mallow's Thunderbolt. After that, Mario and Geno can lend a hand. The Mezzo bombs can hurt, but likely they won't kill you, so Mallow can heal.
- Third star!*
- You'll exit the mines, and be in Ma and Pa Mole's house. When you leave, the Snifits will be chasing a beetle. They'll give you clues as to Toadstool's whereabouts.
Booster Pass
- After you hit the switch in Booster Tower, you'll see a horse shoe shaped entrance in the cliff.
- In the second area, go around the side of the plateau first. You can pick up a flower, and when you go up the alley and jump forward, you'll hit a switch that'll get you money, and take out the Spikesters.
- Up on the cliff, jump to the end to find treasure. The apprentice is annoying.
Booster Tower
- You'll see a scene with Bowser. Go up and examine the door. Now try to leave.
- Bowser is very obvious. You can't take out Mario, so switch in your two higher level characters. If it's still Mallow and Geno, leave them in.
- Make your way up the tower. Be sure to hit the switch. Check out every nook and cranny. There's stuff everywhere.
- Now there's something the Gamepro people didn't catch: You DON'T have to fight Booster. Keep hiding behind the curtains, and DON'T let the Snifits find you. This CAN be a tad frazzling when there's three of them.
- I have only fought Booster once, and that had to be about two years ago. I can't help you much here, except watch out for that train attack.
- I'm sure you saw the Mario Doll earlier. Claim the amulet from Booster (if you didn't fight)
- Now, supposedly there is a trick to Knife Guy and Grate Guy. You're supposed to alternate attacking each brother, only on alternating turns one of them will take more damage. Have Mid Mushrooms.
