This is a story of a time when the two of the best RPG's clash in en epic confrontation. Lunar and Crono Trigger are the best ever made (tied with FF 2). Enjoy it for its originality and let our story commence........
As Ghaleon's life force begins to completey vanish from the cold, metallic floor of the Grindery palace, his last vision recalled was that of Luna and Alex together, happy and in each others' arms. He failed. He knew it would happen, deep inside. But it did not matter now. He was dead.
"Congratulations to all.", excitedly announces Alex, " This is a day that will be told for generations to come!"
Life resumed back to normal for the fabled five. Nash and Mia went back to Vane, both to study and read Ghaleon's diary. They also helped in rebuilding Vane into a land-based city. Kyle and Jessica found each other, this time for keeps. Alex, Nall and Luna lived happily for the rest of their years. Alex thought to himself how her promise kept true from their time back at the port of Saith. Dyne, err, Laike, walked off into the sunset, acknowledging no one, taking a path only beknownst to himself. And Ramus, well, what else can you say when you have half a dozen of Lunar's finest-looking women around you? Yumm! Yup, life seemed as utopian as it can get.
..........................................but that would be too easy, and would make one hell of a dull story.
Somewhere in space, between a physical realm and spiritual realm, a soul floats restlessly among the nothingness that it once embraced. It has now been 500 years and none have come to claim his soul. Because of his bitter hatred for all things and an emotionless conscience that would make even the most evil of dictators look like pawns, Ghaleon's soul remains in dismal loneliness for an eternity.
Zophar still sleeps and no suspicions arise on the once-war torn Lunar.
As this soul that even hell wouldn't touch floats hither and thither infinitely, a glowing hole appears out of the black ocean, within it a figure is materializing. It raises its right arm and casts a spell of supreme power at the soul. Suddenly, the soul begins to take the shape of its physical being. Ghaleon takes form again and begins looking around at his situation and is quite baffled as to how this has happened and why. He floats in a cloud of nothingness. No concept of time, depth, or surface can be seen or felt. An abyss of black. The only light seen is that of the mysterious figure seen before himself.
"What do you want of me?", demandedly asks Ghaleon, "Why have you brought me back from death?"
All he can see is a black silhouette with a flapping cape and scythe surrounded by a brilliant purple neon aura. "You got beat 'cuz you're weak."
"How dare you speak to me of such impudence!", retaliates Ghaleon, becoming quickly annoyed at the figure.
"I know of your pain, of your revenge you strove for. Within my hand I possess the most powerful weapon known to any dimension or universe. With it anyone can control destiny. It could give you a second chance. Interested?" The figure opens his outward palm and reveals a shimmering sphere and in a low monotone, "You need me."
