Departure

Everyone looks down on the ground, right where Ghaleon laid not but a few minutes ago. They realize that soon they too will disappear, returning to the exact point of their departure. Their memories will know nothing of these events. They are all relieved because they stopped a cataclysmic altering of their worlds, but also saddened at the fact that new friends were created in the process, only to lost within a whim.

"Sniff..sniff", sobs Jess and Mia. They turn toward Marle who also begins to turn glassy-eyed. The three of them run toward each other, creating a huge hug center. Crying voices are heard as they struggle to hold onto each other for as long as they can.

"I'm going to miss you, Marle!" Mia says.

"You too, Mia, and you as well Jessica!"

Kyle and frog shake hands as they both stand proud in their achievement. Smiles emerge from both their faces.

"Thou art a worthy ally, Kyle!"

"You too, froggy!"

Nash runs over to the ladies and hugs all of them as well. He especially thanks Marle, "You are great, Marle. Almost as good as me!!"

Mia hits him on the back of his head, "Can't you lose your arrogance for one minute."

Nash replies, "Can't deal with the truth, huh?"

Lastly, the two leaders of the posse walk toward each other. Swords resting in their respective sheaths. Faces stern and chins held high. They shake hands with the utmost respect for each other. Suddenly, their authoritarian attitude changes to happiness and laughter. They hug each other and wrap their arms around as far as they can, patting their backs....

"You are a great swordsman, Crono. Too bad this is only temporary."

"You as well, Alex. I would love to have you on my team."

They loosen their holds on each other and look in each of their faces. They are beginning to fade. The girls continue their universal hug as their transparency increases as well. Frog and Kyle cease their congratulations and just stare at each other, wondering if such travel could ever be possible ever again. They are the first to disappear. Then Mia, Jess, and Marle, respectively. Crono then disappears and Alex remains for a few seconds more. During this brief moment, he looks up at the clouds and thanks Laike for all he did for them, "My Althena bless you, Laike."

Then he disappears.

Back in the black abyss, Ghaleon's soul continues its endless roaming. But, it begins to fluctuate and glow in various colors. A deep and sadistic voice is heard.....

"In 500 years, Ghaleon, you shall have your second chance................"

Off in another corner of the galaxy, a young female is seen standing on a wind- and snow-swepped mountain ledge. She covers her naked upper body with her arms to prevent from freezing. As she looks up at her sister planet, she manifests a strange vision.

"..............................Oh, no. LUNAR!!!"
