The Curse of Monkey Island

The Curse of Monkey Island is the third installment of the best adventure game series in the history of time (well thats waht I think). It is due to be released some time in fall 1997 (don't ask me when exactly) and is going to be the first game in the series to have actual speech in it rather than text. It will also be the first game in the series which will use SVGA graphics (well technology has certainly come along in the last 7 years has it now?).

The Story (for those of you who dont Know already)

Guybrush has just escaped from the Carnival of the damned which the Zombie pirate Le Chuck somehow put him there at the end of Monkey Island 2. He is found at sea by Le Chuck in a floating bumper car with no provisions except a half eaten corn dog. Guybrush is put in the hold while Le Chuck tries to capture the fort which Elaine Marley (Guybrush's love) is governor of, because he wants to marry her (again). Guybrush breaks out and steals a magical ring from Le Chuck's treasure hoard to give to Elaine, but when Elaine puts the ring on she is turned into a statue of gold! Elaine is stolen (because you cant leave a statue of gold on a Island full of pirates for long without something happening) and Guybrush is off on another adventure to get her back.
