CalamityS - I KNEW she liked to clown around - but sheesh ;););)

The winners of the Euchre Tourney this week were LdyBlue and CalamityS! They won against Deda & Phillipi. LdyBlue has blue eyes and is 39 years old. She was born in Cape Breton and now lives in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. She's married and has one son - Marshall. She works as a Court Clerk with the Military Police. When not working, she likes to coach her son's baseball team, bowl, and play on the puter. CalamityS is 48 and has (and I'm quoting her) "cow chit brown" eyes. She was born in Michigan and now lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She's married to a wonderful man. She has three children (Shawn/26, Tracie/24 & Kerry/23) and two grandchildren (Brianna/5 & Joshua/8 mos). She and her hubby own and operate a ranch. They have 32 horses and various other critters running around. She enjoys playing with her horses, gambling in Vegas, reading, and lots of cooking. She recently won a LOT of money while gambling in Vegas! You go, girl! LdyBlue's favorite movie is "Pretty Woman;" favorite TV show is "TSN Sportsdesk;" favorite songs are all songs by Reba McIntyre and Tim MacGraw. Susan's favorite movie is "The Rock;" favorite TV show is "The Highlander;" favorite song is anything by Frank Sinarta, Phoebe Snow, Michael Franks and others. LdyBlue got her nickname from her hubby because she used to be a police woman and has blue eyes. She's used this nickname for over three years. She also used the nickname "Bruinsfan." She has been playing euchre since she beta tested it over two years ago; she didn't learn the game until 1984. Calamity tells us her name is self-explanatory, always in some kind of calamity, and she's been using it since inception of online computer stuff. She might have other nicknames, but she wouldn't reveal what they were. LOL. She's been playing euchre for 30 years (offline) and online since INN Days (Euchre came out either late '93 or early '94). LdyBlue's regular partners are gppWhiz or Pingeye. She and Calamity won tonight because they got lucky. They called it on anything. She tells us she tries to call as much as she can. Calamity's regular partner is billherm. She and LdyBlue won tonight out of good old-fashioned luck and skill, of course. She says to just pray your partner has help for you. LdyBlue would like to say neener neener to "Whiz/Deda/Athena/LdyK" - most especially to Whiz since he didn't pick her tonight ... lol. CalamityS would like to say "PpPppPpP" to Bruce first and Bill second!! LdyBlue also wanted to tell everyone that if you want to keep your ladder scores up - don't play against her! And that she's finally a "euchre goddess" for one day! CalamityS would also like to remind us all to just have fun - win or lose. She'd love to see an official "Pick on Bruce Page!!!" She'd also like to say, "Thanks to all of you who have run these tourneys; they are truly the highlight of my week. You are all the Bestest!!! Can't wait to beat you as players :D"

The winners of the Consolation Tourney this week were Unique3 and Buncheee. They edged out runners-up KiwiGarry & "always a bridesmaid" MichRummy. Unique3 is 57 years old, has blue eyes, and was born (and still lives) in Kentucky. She is a housewife and has been married for 31 years and has three children (Gary/30, Jennifer/29 & Kimberly/26). She has four grandchildren (Cody/9, Courtney/8, Victoria/5 & Kayla/4). Unique likes all kinds of cards and boardgames and she loves to be outside, swim, and read when she's not busy on the computer. Unique's favorite movie is "Sound of Music;" favorite TV shows are "Little House on the Prairie and Highway to Heaven;" favorite song is "Power of Love." She tells us her nickname was thought up by gppPam - when Unique wanted something different. Her other nicknames include Attagirl, Bethann, Attabot, and PCDoll. Unique has been playing euchre for about a year online - she's never played offline. She doesn't have a home page - but hopes to one day. Unique and Buncheee are regular partners and have been since about March. She wasn't quite sure how they won since the cards were terrible at first, but then all of a sudden they were in the finals. She says to be sure to be yourself when you play and have the right partner and the right cards. Unique wants all of her friends to know she thinks you're the best and she wouldn't trade any of you for anything in the world. (Sure - I bet if she was offered a million dollars - she might trade in one or two. LOL.) She also says that as a kid she was taught to be a good loser (why didn't my parents teach me that!!) as well as a good winner (well, I can win with the best of them!!) and if you can't lose with dignity - don't play. She also said that all of the people at WW are my friends and she enjoys being here because it is her home away from home via the computer. Congrats Unique3, Attagirl, Bethann ... and all your other personalities - a job well done! Congratulations to Buncheee too . . . even though we never did get an interview back from you! ;))) Great playing, you two!!! Way to go!! ;)))
