In Castlevania you must travel through Dracula's castle battling his minions. This game would be any horror film buff's dream. You fight skeletons, giant bats, mummies,Frankenstein's monster, gargoyles, even the most evil of them all, flea men!
The challenge in the Castlevania series is legendary. I swear, beating Castlevania is near impossible for the average gamer, I for one have never accomplished that task. Some of the challenge can be attributed to the control which is somewhat frustrating because you cannot change your directions while jumping. If you get hit you fall back like you do in Ninja Gaiden, but it's not as bad.
My favorite part of CastleVania is the music, which simply ROCKS, it's a combination of a gothic sound mixed with rock. It fits the atmosphere perfectly and it never tries to be scarry, it just tries to rock.

| Despite their age, the graphics look pretty good. Great detail fills the game, I give them an 8 | As I said before, I love the music, I give it a 10 | The sound is pretty standard, I give it a 7 | Probably the only part of Castlevania which I think is lacking is the control, being not able to control your jumps is really frustrating. It earns a 5 from me | A classic game that should be(and probably is)in every gamers collection. I think it deserves a nine |
