In Bionic Commando you play as an cybernetically enhanced agent sent to rescue the secret agent "Super Joe" from the Badds(what a name). Actually in the Japanese version you are fighting the Nazis who are in the processs of trying to ressurect Hitler. In the American version, Hitler's name is changed to Master-D(another great name) but his portrait still looks exactly like Hitler! And here's an even stranger part, he swears at you! As a matter of fact, he calls you a "damn fool", that's quite interesting considering how Nintendo is so "family".
Now for the game. BC is structured in a nonlinear fashion, you can go to most levels in any order you want. You probably won't want to do this though since you get items from every level you complete and some of the are essiential. In each level there is a reactor room which usually holds a boss and maybe some of his cronies. But the selling point of the game(in my opinion) is the Bionic Arm, never in a game has there been this cool of an item. Basically, in this game since you cannot jump, you must use the arm to grapple and swing. Trust me, after using it once you'll be swinging everywhere, pretending your Tarzan.
This is a great game, but it has the infamous bad translation that all early NES games seemed to have. Having an organization named "The Badds" is enough to make me vomit. Why couldn't have they kept the whole Nazi and Hitler thing in the American version. Oh well, I'm not going to get into censorship thing here anyway.

| Look good for the most part, but when you fall you have the same stiff animation that you have when you are standing. It looks really goofy. I give them a 7.5 | Awsome military-like music. I give it an 8 | It's OK, but I wish your gun sound effect sounded better. I give it a 6 | The bionic arm rules. It takes a little getting used to though. I give it a 9 | Kickass game. It's like an action game combined with RPG elements. I give it an 8.5 |
