Funcoland Strategy Guide
Most NESers have been too the "evil" store that is Funcoland. The truth is, that even though they can drive you mad thanks to the employees who try to force cleaning kits on you, Funcoland is hard to beat for games like SMB/Duckhunt which will only set you back a dime! Plus it's more convenient than some flea markets and pawn shops. Funco CAN be a good place to shop if you know what to do.
- Know what you are going to buy-
Since Funco is a hard store to browse for games at, make sure you know what you are going to buy
- Bring more than enough money-
Funco changes their prices monthly and nothing is worse than finding that game you wanted is out of your price range
- Go when they are not crowded-
This is usually when they first open and sometimes around lunch. If you go when they are not crowded, they usually are more lenient with you
- When you get there ask if you can go behind the counter-
This is usually easier to do if you become friends with the employees
- Don't let them give you any crap-
If they start to bug you about buying an N64 or something and they won't stop. Leave, take your bussiness elsewhere
- Don't let them force a cleaner on you-
If they ask if you already have a cleaner say yes even if you don't. That is usually the easiest way out
