Labor Day Week and End of Summer, 2000, Trip to Canada

Aug./Sept., 2000. After a long summer of working and looking for a career, etc, I managed to get a couple of weeks off so Rita and I could travel up into Canada and see how much cash we could spend :P. After 2 weeks, 2 ferry trips, and 1 car breakdown, we managed to return home to tell the tale. Although it rained through most of the second half, the whole trip was awesome, and Canada is definitely the best place we've been to so far in our searches for wildlife and tourist spots.

Labor Day Weekend, 1999, at Mt. St. Helens

September, 1999. A few of us mudders got together for a fun weekend just before our new school year started. When planning stuff to do, we finally decided to try the Ape Caves at Mt. St. Helens. We also went to Red Robin in Seattle, hung out at Blade's apartment and Nosferatu's house, and had a great time. Here are a few of the pics that turned out :).

    RoninMUD Memorial-Day Party Weekend, 1999!

May 29th, 1999. A day that will live in infamy forever. A large group of mudders decided to make the most of the 3-day weekend and get together for a day of sun, fun, and excitement. We had representatives from the far reaches of Oregon and Washington playing basketball, eating mass quantities of barbecue, and just hangin around and enjoying the atmosphere in Corvallis, Oregon.. so without further adieu.. here are the first of many pictures to come. (Thanks to those who actually remembered to bring cameras and use them this time) :P.

Keep watching for more as they get developed and come in :). Thanks to Juke and all the Corvallis guys for supplying the accomodations, and thanks to Scorpion for the cookin'.

Pictures from our trip around the Northwest : 1997 -

These are a few pictures Nosferatu and I took along our week-long trip from Longview, WA to Pullman, WA, Spokane, WA, and Calgary, Alberta where we met a few mudders in person. Despite the border searches, getting lost, and running from the police, it turned out to be a pretty fun ride. We hope to make another road trip next summer and hopefully drag along more people this time :P. Who knows, we may show up at YOUR doorstep next!

    Pullman, Washington:

Home of Akira and WSU. Nosferatu and I stayed 2 days here exploring the WSU campus, watching movies, and playin' the ol' Super Nintendo at Akira's apartment. Needless to say, Pullman is a paradise in the middle of nowhere.

    Spokane, Washington:

Home of many mudders including Sane, Hobbes, Cctiger, Kalentra, and Gromic. We stayed 2 days at Charles' (Sane's) house, went to the Spokane Interstate Fair with Kalentra and Gromic and had a blast. Just gotta watch out for the overwhelming yellowjacket population *taunt Sane*.

    Canada and Calgary, Alberta:

Home of Sumo, and many others I'm sure. But we only had time to stay at Sumo's for 3 days or so. We visited Fort Calgary, drove through the Rockies, and even learned a few Canadian customs.

Back in good, old Longview, Washington:

After a nice 15 hour drive through 3 mountain ranges, across two borders, and through constant pouring rain, we arrived home and began to finish off our film.

Miscellaneous pictures not from the trip:
