High Scores

These are high scores that are known to be true. The reason we decided to record them was that every time we reformatted or reinstalled, we lost the high score list in the game, and we know we've lost a whole lot of really good scores. If you'ld like to submit a score to be posted, e-mail Scott at fozz78@yahoo.com and provide all the information shown. Your date should be the date you finished the game. Also, please attach a screen shot of the high score list for verification (JPG, GIF, or PDF format, please). We'll try to get it up as quick as possible.

This list also tells you a little bit about how we play. You'll notice that most of the games are done on a large, irregular galaxy. One of the problems we have is that the games get over without us being able to build the fleet we want in a small galaxy, and we prefer the randomness of the irregular galaxy over the predictability of the ring or spiral. You'll also notice the higher scores from the single player games as opposed to the multi player. I believe this is because in a single player game, usually it ends up being you against all, while in a multi player, you don't have to kill as much since you are splitting the enemies between you. This makes things a little easier, but lowers your score. We don't play against each other much due to problems with our network crashing during large fleet battles. One other thing to note is that all of these scores are for victories. No one I know has ever actually lost the game by being destroyed or allowing the computer to become dominant. Usually, if we come to the conclusion that we're going to lose, we just quit. It is, of course, no fun to lose, and in a game that takes so long to complete, you could realize you're going to lose hours before the computer finally kills you. No thanks, I'll just quit and start over. :)
