You have entered the field that houses my Isl Horses and my Chirra.
As my travels often require
long travel I have aquired both horses and Chirra's
for transportation purposes.
This is BlackLightning, she
has the special abilities as a Healer which is a great help to me
when I am out on my rounds. Because of her talent she is the horse I will generally
rely on
when doing my rounds, and gathering the special herbs I use in my remedies.
WindRunner I usually use for
shorter trips, or for guests to ride when a second horse is required.
Occasionally on long trips I will use her for packing supplies, although that task is
usually
filled by my Chirras.
This filly is Onnika's Ferral
horse Minuet. She's a bit overwhelmed at all the activity, but is slowly
growing accustomed to us. Ferral
horses have always been on the Isle, but they are extremely hard to catch.
They are much sought after by those who do a lot of traveling because they are very
surefooted.
Her parents are White Lightning and Wind Runner.
These are my Chirra Roe's Tahsaa and Fenya.
Fenya is one of the rare colors.
Because Onnika doesn't have
any fields near her home, and since Chirra's are herd animals we
have decided to keep her young Rue here with my Chirra and horses.
Onnika's Chirra Rue's Taisho and
Hali
Chirras are a mulit-purpose
herd animal that produces both wool and meat, and can be used
as pack animals on trips. In the spring they are sheared and their wool is
soft and resilient,
and can be used in both hot and cool climates. It can be used in the natural
colors (light gold,
bronze, blue, brown and magenta), dyed, blended, or mixed to make interesting shades
and combinations.
Males are called Hind's, females are called Roe's, and youngsters are called Rue's.
To see about adopting your
own Chirra make sure to visit the Barn at the Isl
and speak to HerdMaster Emberton.
To adopt a Horse from the Isl
visit StableMaster Renee.
Talented horses must stay on the Isl, but others are allowed to travel to other lands.
