Brettonia is the second largest human nation in the Warhammer World. They are a very proud nation that is very deep into their virtues and their religions. They are very strong minded about everything, and are quite arrogent. They see everything as having to be their way or no way. They tend to boast a lot about their Knights and their virtues, and about they how they are not allowed not to use War Machines.
Here are some tips on how to play Brettonia. The Brettonian Knights are the second most powerful knights in the game, only to Chaos Knights. Their Grail Knights are quite powerful. The virtues that they can get before the beginning of the game can be handy, and their 2+ save. Even though they are not allowed to use War Machines, they make up for it in many other ways. Like their Special Lance Formation. This formation allows them to charge and/or shoot at the enemy from ranks. Also, if they are in this for mation, the enemy cannot wrap around you. Brettonia also has a cool thing that they can do before the battle. They can pray so that the enemy needs a 4+ to shoot at them. A good Special Character is the Green Knight. For 170 points you can get a good Knight that has Str. and Tns. 5, 1 wound, WS. 7 , and a 2+ armour save and a 2+ unmodified regeneration. Also this Knight can never be killed, it says that after suffering one wound, he runs off the battlefield.
Here are some tips for defeating Brettonia. Usually I say to use archery right off the bat. But with Brettonia, I wouldn't recomend using alot of archery. They have some magic items that can really hurt against archery. The best thing to do against Brettonia is to overwhelm them. Thats how my best friend and I usually win against Brettonia. Also watch out for the Grail Knights and their virtues. They can be a pain. Also Morgana LeFay can be the biggest b****. She has this spell that turns characters into frogs, and she has this chalice that will adsorb the first D6 wounds per turn. Finally, watch out for the Green Knight. He can be the biggest pain to kill. Although my best friend and I have never had any trouble killing the Green Knight, he tends to be a pain. It was probably from the fact that the Green Knight is no match for a Chaos General of Khorne or a single Goblin Arrow.
