A form of Good and Bad

Chapter 4
Link and Zelda were riding Epona back to the castle. The sun was rising higher into the sky and Link knew he had to get back and then start his journey. Link could feel Zelda tightly squeezing his waist as Epona's strides quickened. Link loved the wind whipping through his hair, as they rode in silence. Link began to think of his new long, hard journey that stood forth. He wasn't afraid but nervous instead. He kept quiet the whole way home thinking about it. Zelda was also lost in her thoughts. She was thinking of Link. She was thinking of when he came back, she would ask him to marry her. She knew Ruto and Link were engaged, but it seemed Link had no passion for her. Link only loved Zelda. And there was no change to that. So, Zelda planned to show him she loved him. But what she didn't know was Link was thinking the same thing at nights. Alone.

The castle was showing along the horizon and Link urged Epona to a faster pace. Epona immediately obeyed. They finally reached the castle's drawbridge and Link dismounted and helped Zelda off. Epona went back to Lon Lon Ranch and the two crossed the bridge. They both walked in silence as the village was booming in noise. At the front gate to the castle's entrance stood Impa waiting for them. "Well Link, I hope you enjoyed your day with Zelda, but now it's time to start your quest," Impa said softly. Link nodded, his face filled with seriousness. He headed toward the castle to get all his things. Bottled fairies and potions, his hookshot, his tunics, his boots, the shields, swords, and rupees. Link was just about to go when Zelda entered his room. "You're going now, then let's say good-bye first," Zelda said, tears filled her eyes. Link walked over to her and hugged her good, and long. She sobbed onto his shoulder and Link could feel the moisture spilling. He looked into Zelda's eyes and they both started to near each other. They got closer and closer until lips touched. They kissed. Their lips parted and Link stroked Zelda's hair before turning away towards the door. He opened it and shut it. And with that last moment Zelda whispered softly, "Good-bye Link, for now."

Chapter 5
Link walked out of the castle and into Hyrule Field. "Now, where to start." "Navi, know where I can begin this Destiny?" Link said. "Well, Link, it looks like something is wrong at Death Mountain." "Maybe that's where you should begin," Navi replied thoughtfully. Link ran into Kakariko Village and off to Death Mountain.

"You cannot pass through here today," the guard said to Link. "It is far too dangerous." Link sighed. "But I have to in order to see what's wrong" Link tried desperately to make the quard raise the gates. "I'm sorry, but perhaps you could go through if you had a written note from Darunia." "But I'm sure that wouldn't be possible to reach him," the quard sneered. Link replied, "We'll see about that." Link turned from the quard and took out his Ocarina of Time and played Minuet of Forest. He suddenly warped to the Lost Woods. Link headed toward the maze and took out his Fairy Bow. He shot the goblin-like monster three times and it died instantly. Link ran to get the three rupees and went to the corner and peered around. He saw another maze quard and he shot him in the back with the Hookshot. Link climbed the ladder and jumped all the hedges. He reached the tunnel that lead into the Lost Woods. He ran through a hole on the left and kept going through a familiar line of tunnels until he reached a time entrance to Goron City. Link jumped in and was transported to the wondrous world of rock-eating Gorons.

"So, let me get this straight, brother, you need my permission to get into Death Mountain Trail?" "WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?" "THEY WON'T EVEN LET THE HERO OF TIME THROUGH!" "THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!!" Darunia shouted out in fury. "Yes, brother Darunia, I do need it and fast," Link replied trying to calm Darunia. "Sigh, OK brother Link, but this not necessary." "They should have let you go anyway," Darunia said. He scribbled down on a piece of paper a note letting him pass. "Thanks, Darunia," Link said staring down at the piece of paper. Link ran out of the time entrance and into the Lost Woods portrance. He ran out into Kokiri Forest and then into Hyrule Field. Link walked up the stairs leading into Kakariko Village and to Death Mountain entrance once again. Link handed the note to the quard and waited. "Well......" "Okay, fine but I'm just warning you, Mr. Hero," the quard said staring blankly at the letter. The gate slid open and Link started up Death Mountain Trail.

Chapter 6           Link strided briskly up the mountain's path. He jumped back when a boulder the size of Peahat dropped from above. He quickly pulled the Hylian Shield up over his head and bent down, his hand touching the ground. A sudden down pour of rocks rained from the heavens. Link held the shield with all his strength knowing if he let the shield go, he would be killed from the falling boulders. A minute later it all mysteriously disappeared. "Strange......" Link whispered silently looking above to see no cliffs or hangs where the rocks could have fallen. Link shrugged and ran the rest of the way upmountain.

"Yaaa," Link cried as he swung the sword madly at a dragon that stood in his path blocking Goron City. The dragon inhaled a gulp of air and a blast of fire and ash boomed from his enormous mouth. Link sidestepped and successfully dodged the blazing inferno. The dragon whipped his head to the left knocking Link to the ground. Link quickly rolled over and jumped up barely missing the dragon's claw. He charged forward with the sword in hand and jabbed it down the dragon's side. A blast of pain sounded from the dragon. It wildly lashed out near his stomach tripping Link. The dragon fell also, causing the ground to quake making it harder for Link to get up. Link finally struggled up and spun around to the dragon's throat and quickly thrusted the Master Sword into the neck. The dragon lifted his head up shouting out a horrible cry of pain and terror. He fell limp and fell to the ground to meet his destroyer. The dragon wasted away quickly and Link stared down at the sulken body pitifully. He kicked the body one last time before entering a hole incrested in the rocky mountain. A dark tunnel lead the way in front of him. Link felt around on the tunnels sides seeing if there were some sort of torches. Luckily there were. He used Din's Fire to enlighten the torches and stared down the tunnel to into more darkness measuring ahead. "Well, since when does doing missions become easy?" Link said aloud. He took out a deku stick and let it ablaze. He lighted all the torches in the tunnels ahead until he reached a room filled with many doors. "Door number one, door number two, or door number three?" Link said, hoping it would lighten his spirits. He chose the third door but only to find it locked. He turned to the second door, but it too, was locked as well. He sighed impatiently and faced the first door. It was locked also! Link looked around the room, trying to see if there were some sort of switches that would unlock the doors successfully. There were none in his sight. Link pulled out the Lens of Truth and studied the room again. There on the northern wall was a button. Link walked over to it and pushed it hard. Door number one slid open. Link turned around and walked inside.
