A form of Good and Bad

Chapter 7
As Link entered the forbidden room it slammed shut behind him. He spun around and then back again. He could hear a silent movement pacing through the room. He drew his sword from his sheath and pulled the shield up over his chest. The quiet creeping stopped, but nothing happened. It was just plain silence. Link was getting uneasy. He shuffled his feet nervously. He backed up towards the torch that was near his back. He bumped into it, so he spun around alarmed. He stared at it making out its form. He got an idea and quickly lit it causing the room to light up on that side. Link then suddenly saw it. It was a gigantic animal. It looked as though it was a........wolf like monster! The wolf backed up and hid in the shadows growling silently. Link carefully walked up near it and raised his sword higher planing to destroy the creature quickly without pain. The wolf looked at Link for a moment and growled again. He bolted forward through Link's legs causing Link to fall back. Link scrambled back up again and desperately searched the room for the wolf. It's eyes gave the creature away. They were brightly shining yellow and lit up like a candle. Link murmured something under his breath and charged forward with the sword. The wolf sprang like a flash and Link only struck stone with his sword. But before Link could turn around for his next attack the wolf jumped on Link's back and sunk his teeth in slowly. Link cried out in pain and jerked his hands around the wolf's neck and savagely strangled it. The wolf clamped harder and Link tightened more. Link could feel the wolf getting looser on his back gasping for breath. Link fell back landing on the wolf's body. The wolf couldn't hold in any longer so he let go. Link took the opportunity and grabbed his sword and jabbed it into the wolf's stomach. Blood jugged out and the wolf's yellow eyes slowly faded into a dull green and then into a black. The door opened again and Link turned around to enter Room two.

The next room was much different. It was lit up and a platform was in the center of the room. It was spinning madly. It reminded Link of the Windmill in Kakariko Village. He smiled at the thought but quickly disposed it as he heard a creaky sound from across the room. He pulled out his Hookshot and aimed at a wooden board that hung above the spinning platform. He shot at it and his body lifted from the ground the drop onto the platform. He looked around to find nothing. He could still hear the creaking noise from across him. He bit his lip hard and thought about how he was supposed to defeat an invisible being. The creaking grew louder and a heavy breathing soon took it's place. Link could suddenly feel a hot breath on his face and he quickly slashed out hitting something. The invisible thing cried out in pain and backed up. Link jumped to the other side and listened for the breathing. He heard it coming closer again and he brought the shield up closer. A sharp pain slash his back and he spun around and lashed out. Blood spilled on the floor and Link saw the blood dripping from air. He followed it and kept striking until a blue cloud of smoke filled the room. He stopped in his tracks not sure if it was a trap. It cleared when he saw a chest in front of him. He opened it and peered inside. It was a key. He stuffed it inside of his pocket and left the room to Door Number three.

Chapter 8
The room was just a little different from the other one was, but not quite. It was brightly lit with a platform in the center but it wasn't spinning. There were also chandlers hanging from the ceiling. Link looked curiously around expecting something horrible and ugly to be hiding somewhere. The room was booming in noise though. The crackling of the fire, the creaking of the old floors, the swinging motion of the chandlers, and the slight breathing of Link sounded much better to him than total silence. Link closed his eyes and concentrated on feeling something alive in the room. (Hylians could do that since they have a sixth sense.) He couldn't feel anything. He was puzzled a little than looked around some more in case it was a puzzle room. Nothing seemed to be a clue, so Link jumped onto the platform and than onto the other side. A tiny picture of the Triforce was embedded into the wall. Link quickly took out his Ocarina and played Zelda's Lullaby. Suddenly a door opened in front of him! It was hidden so no wonder he didn't see it in the first place. Link walked in and looked around. The next room was dimly lit and a soft yet stomach curdling music was playing. Link held his stomach as pain shot through it. He stumbled forward and felt dizzy and sick. He suddenly felt his feet falling from underneath him and he collapsed. He struggled getting to his feet but than heard a bellowing laugh rocking through the room. A dark figure came out from the clouds that had swallowed the room when he had fallen. It came closer until Link could make out his figure. It was Ganondorf! Link gasped under his breath while insane thoughts were running through his mind. Ganon's laugh suddenly turned into a fearful snarl of hatred. "So, we meet again, dear Link?" Ganondorf sneered. "Well, why don't we play a little game of torture?" Ganondorf raised up a shimmering knife that was as sharp as an ice blade, and suddenly it was aiming straight at Link.

Link rolled over as quickly as he could. The knife blade had barely missed him. Link struggled to his feet but only to fall again as Ganondorf knocked him sideways. Link got up again and ran to Ganon's legs. Link hit him with all his force and they both collided and Ganon fell. Link took the Master Sword out and aimed for Ganondorf's chest. Ganondorf flew back up and flung some electrical bolts at Link. Link dodged them and jabbed the sword into Ganondorf. Ganon clasped his chest and frowned bitterly at Link before falling on one knee. Link raised the sword again and stabbed it into Ganondorf's back. Link pushed it in harder until the sword had gone all the way through Ganondorf's chest. Ganon gasped hard before falling to the ground. "And I thought you were going to be much more of a challenge," Link said triumphal. Ganondorf replied, "This isn't the end of me yet, until next time Link." And with those last words Ganondorf fell. And Link beheld his warning.

Chapter 9
Link stumbled forward beginning to feel dizzy and uneasy again. He could barely see as his sight was darkening. He tried to force himself to move forward but it felt as though he was being held back by his own feet. He suddenly felt his feet falling from beneath him and he fell on his knees. Finally, he could no longer see anything as he fell forward and hit the ground. The last thing he remembered was a wave of total darkness.

Link finally awoke to find himself inside a bed. A soft, warm bed. Soft music was playing and he could tell immediately tell it was a harp. The sound of the harp suddenly brought back memories of Sheik. He also found that his head was pounding in pain. He put his hand on his head and fell back into the pillows. He opened his eyes again and looked around. He heard footsteps coming towards his door. It opened quietly and an old woman walked to the foot of his bed. "Ay, I see that you are awake now," she said softly. Link smiled in gratitude but couldn't manage to speak, his head hurt too much. "You don't need to talk, I'll do the talking for you," she said again as though she had read his mind. She exited the room but came back with a bowl of steaming soup. She handed it to him and Link took it anxiously. The old woman smiled sweetly and left the room for Link to be with himself. Link devoured the soup greedily and finished it with pleasure. After he had finished it, he fell back to sleep. But after a while later he woke up again, feeling refreshed. He yawned and stretched to his heart's desire and decided to find out who that old lady was. He entered the main room and looked for the woman. She was nowhere to be seen. He looked some more in the kitchen and another bedroom. She still was nowhere to be seen. Link shrugged and went back to his room to wait.

Link had waited all day long and night was already here. Link was yearning to go on further into his journey but he held still because he didn't want to leave without thanking the woman. It was finally midnight and still no one had returned. He sighed impatiently and decided he would have to come back and thank her for now he had to get started again. Everything minute of Hyrule was depending upon Link's success. Link got up and left his room and then left the house. The night was dark and pretty cold. Link walked briskly ahead, hoping there would be some sort of clue to what next level he could concentrate on. Navi fluttered near Link and lit up the road so Link could see where he was going. He thought about Zelda for that moment and sighed happily. He fell out of his dream when Navi blurted out, "Link, quick someone's coming!" Link responded and pulled his sword out frowning. The figure came in sight now and stumbled forward. "Just someone drunk," Link mumbled to Navi. The figure got even closer now and then fell at Link's feet. "I....I...have a....message for....you, Link!" The mysterious figure said. Link squinted closely at the person before helping him to his feet. "Yes?" Link replied. "The Princess Zelda....is....is.....gone!" He cried.
