Heart pieces

All 36 are listed here.

1. Young link. Hidden in a storage shed at the back of Lon Lon Ranch.

2. Adult link. As young link, plant a magic bean at the mouth of Dodongo's Cavern. (Magic beans can be bought in Zoras river.) As adult link, ride the plant up to the heart piece.

3. Both. At the entrance to Lake Hylia, from Hyrule Field, there is a area of grass that is fenced in, place a bomb in the center of the area.

4. Both. Next to the castle there are some trees, one of them you can bomb to get to the heart piece.

5. Adult link. After you get the hookshot from the grave keeper, use it to get on top of Impa's house. From there drop down to a balcony and enter the hole.

6. Adult link. After you get the longshot, (found in the water temple) use it to get on top of the house with a blue roof, then talk to the man up there.

7. Young link. Take the tour in the graveyard, tell the grave keeper to dig on the dirt. The heart piece is in a random location.

8. Adult link. In the gravekeepers grave race him (after you get the hookshot). If you finish in under a minute he will give you a heart piece.

9. Adult link. After your race with the gravekeeper, (first or second) leave the room and play the Song of Time on your ocarina. Then leave the room to the windmill and ride the platform to the heart piece.

10. Both. After you kill 50 gold skulltulas then return to the House of skulltula in Kakriko Village to claim your heart.

11. Adult link. As young link, plant a magic besn in the graveyard. Return as adult link and ride the plant up to a crate and rool into it.

12. Both. Pull the tomb stone with 3 flowers in front of it and drop down into the hole. Play the Sun's Song (found in the royal familys tomb).

13.Young link. In zoras river there are 5 frogs that live under a log. Play the song of storms for the frogs and they will give you a piece of heart.

14. Young link. Keep playing songs to the frogs and they will ask you to play a game with them. Press the button corresponding to each frog as the bug flys over it.

15. Young link. At the start of Zoras River, Pick up the chicken and carry it to the point of the steep hill. If you turn around, you will see a ledge with a ladder on it. Use the chicken to float over to the ledge. Cimb the ladder and pick up the chicken on top and float to the heart.

16. Adult link. After you have the hover boots, (found in the Shadow Temple) Go to the waterfall and put on the hover boots, walk out to the heart piece.

17. Young Link. Go to the Treasure chest game in the Market and complete it. Your prize will be a piece of heart (it helps if you use the Lens of Truth -- found in the well).

18. Young link. Play the Bombchu Bowling game in the Market. The game prize is random so you will have to play the game over and over.

!9. Young link. In the back alley of the market, at night, there is a lady who has lost her dog! Help her find her dog and she will give you a heart piece.

20. Young link. Play Saria's Song in front of the skull kid in the lost woods. Your reward will be a piece of heart.

21. Young link. After getting piece number 20, go to the area with a giant gong. Climb down the ladder and play the copying game with the skull kid you find there.

22. Young link. In Zoras domain, there are two torches behind the waterfall. Light the torches and the heart piece will appear in a chest.

23. Adult link. On an ice platform in Zora's fountain, there is a piece of heart.

24. Adult link. After you get the Iron Boots put them on to float to the bottom of Zoras fountain where there is a piece of heart on the bottom.

25. Adult link. In the ice cavern there are blue flames all around. Put some of the fire into an empty bottle and melt the red ice with a piece of heart in it.

26. Adult link. In the crater on top of Death Mountain there is a Piece of heart that is on a ledge. The wall surrounding the piece of heart is climbable.

27. Adult link. As young link, plant a magic bean in the death mountain crater. Return as adult link and ride the plant up to the piece of heart.

28. Young link. In Goran city, there are some torches on the lower lwvel, surronding a giant pot. Light these torches and throw a bomb into the pot. The prizes are random here as well.

29. Young link. Play the fishing game (in Lake Hylia) untill you catch a 9-10 pound fish. Take the fish up to the counter and claim your prize.

30. Both. After you win the golden scale (won in the fishing pond), dive to the bottom of the pond in the lake side laboratory.

31. Adult link. As young link, plant a magic bean next to the lakeside laborarory in Lake Hylia. Return as adult link and ride the plant up to the roof.

32. Young link. At the bridge above the river in Gerudos valley pick up a chicken and leap off the bridge facing the waterfall there there is a hidden ledge in the waterfall.

33. Young link. Return to Gerudos valley and pick up the chicken again. Leap off the bridge in the oppsite direction of number 32. landon the ledge with a crate on it.

34. Adult link. There is a treasure chest on top of Gerudos Fortress that contains a piece of heart.

35. Adult link. After you get the horse (Lon Lon Ranch) play the horseback archery game in the shooting range. If you score 1000 pts or more you will get the piece of heart.

36. Adult link. As young link plant a magic bean next to the Spirt Temple. Return as adult link and ride the plant up to the piece of heart.
