Reeve Aleutian Airways was formed in 1947 by Bob Reeve, originally as a supply carrier to the Aleutians from Anchorage. Today, their fleet consists of 3 Lookheed Model L188 Electras and two B727-100s. The registrations of the Electras are N178RV, N1968R, and N9744C. All of the aircraft except N1968R are combis, as the market in the region is highly seasonal. The Electras have survived several accidents, but now are to be retired, hopefully to another carrier or a museum, due to spare parts unavailability, and the 727s will continue in service, flying to Russia and the Aleutian Islands.
