Magic: the Gathering Tournament Decks

This is the deck that started it all -- the one that won a local Type 2 tournament with a field of 61 players.
The tournament was held on April 12, 1997 (pre-Fifth Edition), and was 5 round Swiss-system tournament, with the top 8 finishers playing single elimination to determine the winner.
After the 5 round Swiss, the deck had a 4 win - 1 tie record, seeded third in the final, with the following match scores: 2-1, 1-1, 2-0, 2-0, 2-1. In the single-elim rounds, the match scores were 2-1, 2-0, 2-0, for an overall games total of 15-4.
I found the sideboard to be the key against players using Red. In the three 2-1 wins I lost the first game and won the last two after sideboarding. Strangely, I never actually played my COPs. The winning formula against Red (and Black) was Spirit Linked protection creatures (with Angelic Voices and Blessing providing extra punch).
Also strange was that I lost the opening die roll to see who went first in all 8 matches!
