Games using multiple servers
You should be reading here only if you want to start an outpost in a game that already has an existing chapter of the guild on one of the available servers. If there is no guild presence in the game at all, then you should be examining the provisions under First-In or Advance Teams. If there is an outpost existing on a server for the game you are interested in, you must support that outpost first, until the status of Chapter has been achieved. Only one outpost may exist in any game at a given time regardless of the number of available servers. This protects the viability of the guilds efforts in the game. Exceptions to this rule can be made by the Grand master of the guild after due consideration of the request by the combined high council.
Procedure:
Make a formal request to the Central Web Council of the guild, and include the following details.
Which server you want to outpost
The names of the player's and their character names in the guild.
Any assistance you may need at the outset from the central guild web office.
These may change after things get started, nothing is set in stone.
The outpost is a secondary group in that specific game.
While in its beginning stages the group of players will be governed by the Bylaws, Charter, and Code of Conduct as provided by the Chapter that already exists.
New players that come to the guild through its outpost shall be frozen in rank
as Page, Squire, or Knight Errant
until the outpost has its own Charter, By Laws, and Code of conduct, approved by the central council.
Full knights of the guild from other games shall be afforded their rank and title
while playing on this server
and be expected to be governed by the laws of the guild in that game,
in addition to the Master rules of the guild.
until the outpost has presented their own set of guild documents to the central council for approval
There after Knights must comply with the Guild documents for that game on that server.
The acting GM shall be the senior guild member as appointed by the central council at the time of application
When the outpost has half of the amount of the required number of full knights of the guild to be a Chapter
Currently the smallest Chapter is found in Panterra and requires 10 members
They shall petition the guild for their own Laws to be governed under.
There will be a 30-day time limit to achieve this goal.
Extensions can be sought from the Grand Master and the Central council of the guild.
When the Outpost has a set of Guild Rules in place, normal in guild advancement of new members may take place (knightings)
30 days after achieving a compliment of full knights of the guild sufficient to meet the requirement for a Chapter of the guild.
the outpost shall convert to a fully authorized chapter upon receipt of a written request for the conversion
the 30 day requirement shall also serve as a minimum time requirement and start no sooner than the date of approval for the outposts By laws.
The typical Elected Guild council positions must be filled as full knights join the outpost
members shall be appointed by the designated GM for the outpost and serve for a period not to exceed 6 months
Authorized Outposts shall be sanctioned for a period of 6 months.
If in this time frame the outpost cannot meet the requirements of a Chapter of the guild
they may petition for a 6 month extension,
or decide to revert back under the jurisdiction of the previously existing Chapter in that game.
If the Parent Chapter no longer exists, the time limit provision becomes invalid.
When applying for an extension, the central council shall give all due consideration
to the state and health of the Parent Chapter.
the decision to extend the outpost permit shall be made on this consideration as well as the health of the outpost itself.
the intent above all shall be to preserve as much as possible while maintaining a viable presence in the game.
