The Goomba Brothers admire strength, and sided with the enormous Goomba King thinking he must be the most powerful Goomba around. After their defeat by Mario and Goombario, they decided to change their ways and model themselves after the most powerful Goomba they had met yet: Goombario.
The Goomba Brothers are now quite harmless, and they tend to spend a lot of time with Goombario and his family in Goomba Village.
"Stricken by failing health in recent weeks, Blue Goomba is the lesser half of the notorious Goomba Brothers. He won't present Mario with much of a challenge, but take care against his flying headbutt attack." - Paper Mario Player's Guide.
"This is Blue Goomba. He's the youner of the two Goomba Bros...as you heard in his little speech, he's one of the Goomba King's men. He doesn't look that healthy, he's weaker than his brother." - Goombario.
Attack Pattern: The Goomba Brothers will ambush you on your way to the Toad Town. They use head bonk attacks, like all Goombas. You will fight them again with the Goomba King later on, where they use the same attacks, but have only 2 HP each.
Basic Fighting Strategies: Regular attacks possibly mixed in with a power jump attack should do fine during the first battle. Use regular attacks during the second battle, or check the advanced strategies for a special Goomba Brother-crushing technique.
Advanced Strategies: In the battle with the Goomba Bros. and the Goomba King, Goombario suggests you attack the Goomba brothers first, but you should actually hit the tree stump first. This will cause some stuff to fall on the Goomba King and both of the Goomba Bros. simplifying the battle considerably.
