BACKGROUND:
Chan is a Buzzy Beetle who came from a distant land to train with The Master, who
is known all across the Mushroom World for his skill as a martial artist. Chan
is the youngest and least experienced of the Master's two highest-ranking apprentices,
Lee being the other. Chan's green-hued shell and his braided hair are signs that he is not native to the Mushroom Kingdom, although he is still closely related to the Buzzy Beetles found here. Chan is currently still training under The Master at the Toad Town Dojo, where he can be found all of the time.
OTHER BACKGROUND INFO:
"That's Chan, he's one of the trainees who seem to always be at the Dojo. He
worships The Master. I mean, it's all well and good for Chan to admire The Master,
but I prefer Mario!" - Goombario (Paper Mario) "This is Chan, of the Dojo. He's training under the Master and is happy to fight us...Hammer attacks don't work well but you can flip him over with jump attacks. Once he's flipped over, he's easy! No mercy, Mario!" - Goombario (Paper Mario) "Chan has been training at the Toad Town Dojo for a while, but he's still learning the ropes. If you can score with a powerful jump attack on every trun, he won't have a chance to get in even a single hit."

BATTLE PLAN: Attack Pattern: Chan uses a spinning charging attack over and over again. If you knock him on his back, he will have to use his turn to get back on his feet. Basic Fighting Strategies: It really pays to know the action command for this battle, so that you can knock Chan over and hurt him at the same time. Otherwise, just attack him as quickly as possible. If you can keep him knocked over, he won't even get one hit in. Advanced Strategies: Jump attacks and Headbonk will knock Chan on his back. If you're better with the Hammer than Jump, try having Goombario attack with his headbonk first, then follow up with Mario's hammer after Chan is flipped. You won't even need to block Chan's attacks if you fight well, but in case you do, press A just as he runs into Mario.
