BACKGROUND: These relatives of Clusters are somewhat more powerful, and have a brilliant turquoise / sky blue colour in their crystalline shells. This colouring is due to the starlight they bask in on star hill, where Pulsars are regularly found.
Like Clusters, these creatures have two large orbs that allow them to see when they are hidden in their crystal shells, but there are actually tiny round creatures living inside the shells.
Pulsars control electrical currents which can be quite dangerous, but they do not usually attack passerby unless provoked. It is best to stay out of their way, as they can prove very dangerous especially if they use their Migraine attack.

BATTLE PLAN:
Attack Pattern: Pulsars use a bunch of special attacks: Static E will cause a tiny amount of damage to all party members, Bolt causes a small amount of damage to one party member, Electroshock causes a medium to large amount of damage to one party member, and Migraine may instantly kill one party member. Along with all of these, Pulsar also uses occasional regular attacks.
Basic Fighting Strategies: Most attacks, both regular and special, work quite well. Pulsars should be left until later in the battle because except for Migraine, most of their attacks are weak.
Advanced Strategies: Try using special attacks, as Pulsars cannot counter these with Migraine. Mario may be able to beat them with a single timed-hit which will also prevent them from using Migraine. Otherwise you should try using Special attacks. Any of Jump, Geno Beam, Shocker, or Fire will usually defeat Pulsar with one hit if timed properly.
Pulsar's regular attack consists of moving towards a character, making it's crystal shards fly out and then clamping the shards back together. It is a bit difficult to block (and to describe!) but try pressing A just as the shards fly back together.
