Roman and Marlena are having lunch when he decides to make her laugh by making fun of her. This scene is so funny and so sweet.
Roman: The meat was great.
Marlena: Good.
Roman: How is the fish?
Marlena: Fine.
Roman: Do you suppose that before this day is trough you can manage more than one?
Marlena: More that one what?
Roman: WORDS. You haven't been exactly throwing them around, you know. Altought I will give you that - your last response was longer than anything you said the last past hour.
Marlena: Sorry.
He laughs.
Roman: I don't want you to be sorry, Doc. It's the last thing I had in mind when I got you out here.
Marlena: Why did you get me out here?
Roman: Do you really want to know?
Marlena (leaning towards him smiling): I think I better.
Roman: Ok. Do you have your glasses with you?
Marlena (looks surprised): What?
Roman: Your glasses. Do you have them or don't you?
Marlena: Yes I do. Why would you want...
Roman: Just give them to me...
Marlena takes her glasses out of the bag with suspicion written all over her face.
Marlena: Why?
Roman: Come on, trust me.
She hands him the glasses slowly.
Roman: Thank you. Now I can
tell you what I had in mind. Initially I thought Ia would begin with something
simple like: A nice day, ha?...and then I thought that you would respond
in something like...(he put her glasses on and imitate her with a funny
voice): Oh, Roman, it's a glorious day but not as nearly as glorious as
I feel inside when ever you are near me.
(he takes off the glasses
and talks normal again): Me, of course, I would be flattered and surprised
and I will give you the 'tell me more' look. Of course you would say -
(he put the glasses back on and talks in the funny voice again): Oh, Roman,
I might have had my doubts about the future once but something changed
when we came to romantic Mexico. I really didn't know what it was at first
but now, sitting here looking at you with he sun accentuating your noble
profile and...let's just say that I know what's making my heart skip a
beat. It's you, Roman, YOU, YOU, YOU.
Marlena laughs.
Marlena: I don't talk like this.
Roman: Yes, you do.
Marlena: Accentuating your noble profile???... I never said something so completely bogus.
Roman: Excuse me? you were saying?
He put on the glasses again.
Roman: You are ARTICULATING.
Both of them start laughing.
Roman: I always could make you laugh.
Marlena: You always said I was too serious.
Roman: Well, you are.
Marlena: I know.
Roman: Ha, ha.
Marlena: I can't help it, that's just the way that I am. (She points her finger at him and smiles). I am on time...I am professional...I am thorough...I am...
Roman touch her finger with his finger and complete her sentence for her.
Roman:...Perfect !!!
