Marlena was in danger from a killer that wanted to hurt her and other women in Salem. She refused to get any police protection and Roman, who was new in down, had feelings for her and decided that no matter what - she would be protected. So he showed up at her doorstep in the middle of the night and camped out in her living room using a sleeping bag. Boy, she was angry but not too long after that she fell inlove with him too. Here is that scene:
Marlena opens the door and sees Roman with a sleeping bag. He opens the door and let himself in.
Roman: You refused to have police protection. That's tough. You got it as of...now !
Marlena: Oh, no I don't.
Roman: If you hadn't made such a racket out there...If you'd open the door right away...(He takes his jacket off).
Marlena: Don't do this...don't take those things off...
Roman (smiles): Gee...I hope I didn't wake up your kid.
Marlena: Don't you worry about my kid.
Roman: What ever you say.
Marlena: Good! What I say is: GET OUT! (She points to the door).
Roman (smiles): I can't do that.
Marlena: You have to.
Roman: No. I am not going anywhere. I am staying here now..ALL NIGHT !
He opens the sleeping bag, puts it on the floor, getting right in, smiling at her.
Marlena: I THINK YOU ARE CRAZY...
Roman: Well, I have been called worse things in my life.
Marlena (laughing at him): I bet you have.
Roman: Oh, don't worry about me, Doc. I brought my own food. But I do have one request...
Marlena (in an funny voice): Oh, please, tell me - what is it?
Roman: Go to bed. I could use a good night sleep.
He is laughing.
Marlena: FINE! Good night , Detective Brady...
She takes his bag and troughs it on his face with all her strength and then had to her bedroom. He looks at her leave the room and smiles to himself.
Roman: Good night...
