If you are having problems with your sound, then it is most likely a conflict with your sound card drivers. The best thing you can do is go to the home page of your sound card manufacturer, download and install the latest drivers.

Firstly, here are some common problems and responses from The Realm FAQ:

Sound is choppy and hard to understand.

Game play is interrupted by an error message "instruction at xxxx referenced memory xxx."
