Itory Village

RED JEWELS
8) Once you see the village, head to the woodpile to your left, and check the stack to the far left for red jewel # 8.

I'm a lumberjack but thats o...whats this?

ITEMS
-Incan Statue A

SKILLS 1. Psycho Dash

Fun Things to Do
Surprisingly, there aren't any fun out-of-the-way things to do in this town...unless maybe you like repeatedly leaping over the cliff (which you have to do once anyhow).

WALKTHROUGH

When you first arrive in Itory village, you don't see anything. Lilly requests that you play "that tune from Edward's prison." She is, of course, referring to Lola's melody, so yank out your flute and start playing it. When you finish, the village mysteriously appears.Play the song to awaken the town...

Lilly and Kara walk off to Lilly's house, and you get control of Will again, walk over to the woodpile to your left, check the far left bundle, and claim Red Jewel # 8 for your own.

Walk over to Lilly's house, and listen to the conversation between Lola, Bill, Lilly, and Kara. You'll learn that Aunt Lola's poisoned marsupial pie has a nice side-effect to it. (Hmm, I'm not quite so hungry anymore...)

From here, if you want to talk to the townsfolk feel free, they mostly say stuff about the Incan tribe. When you're done, go back to Lilly's house, and head upward, up the stairs to the mountain-temple. There is a hidden Dark Space that you should be able to easily find. Enter it. (It's behind a pillar).

Go over to the Will statue, stand in front of it, and be blessed with your first dark power, the Psycho Dash. The psycho dash is a move that allows Will, and only Will, to save energy by holding the attack button, then releasing the attack button (when Will is rapidly glowing) to have Will lunge forward, and break certain walls.

With your new-found power, exit the dark space, and go over to the hill to the right. Run down this hill, and keep running until after Will has lept over the cliff, and lands in a graveyard. Head down the ladder, and enter the cave.

Uh WHEEEEE!

Hmm. What a strange cave. There is nothing in it. Walk up to the wall, and go a little bit right. Slash the wall with your flute. Whats this?! A damage noise...This noise indicates a weak wall. Try your new power out! Hold your attack button until Will is flashing, then, facing the wall, release the attack button. AHA! The wall broke down! Enter the new opening.

Grab the Incan Statue A from the room, and leave. Go back up the that cemetary you first landed in, and talk to the ghostly-elder. He tells you a hint that Will will later recap, so it isn't important to remember it OR to write it down. Run down the hill, and leap back over the the main village. Go to Lilly's house, and talk to Lilly.

Lilly decides it would be a good time-investment to investigate the Moon-tribe camp next. Agree with her, and you're off to the Moon-Tribe camp. Oh, and Kara is forced to stay behind, she whines about that too.

Moon-Tribe Camp

-There are no red jewels, no fun things to do, and no skills

Items
-Incan Statue B

WALKTHROUGH

This place almost doesn't need a Walkthrough. Head up the stairs, and when the ghost asks you "Guess who?", pick any. All three of them are wrong AND lead to the same dialogue. Talk to all the ghastly figures to learn more about the plot, then head down the stairs and into the cave on the left.

Semi-Dungeon area

Enemies
-6 Worms

This part can be a little tricky. The ghost tells you that you have 20 seconds to destroy all the "creatures". I found it most effective to do the Hop-attack on them. Start out by heading up and left and attacking. Don't panic if you fail, because you get unlimited tries. Once you manage to destroy them, Incan Statue B is yours for the taking. Exit the cave and Lilly suggests heading to Larai Cliff. Since you have no choice, your next destination is there.

Larai Cliff

Items
-Herb-In treasure Chest
-Diamond-shaped block-In Treasure Chest
-Wind Melody

Walkthrough

Great! You're here! Now, head over towards the entrance a~nd...Kara rears her pretty (or ugly..your opinion) head. She was lonely and thought Lilly and Will were mean for leaving her. Anyways, ignore them, and enter the cliffs.

Larai Cliff-Main [1]

This section of the dungeon is the outside. I will split it into the various times that you enter it, so as not to scare you with the total number of enemies on it.

Nothing here yet, just go enter the door on your left.

Larai Cliff-Dungeon [1]

Enemies
-7 Mudmen
-4 Spinning Pedestals
Defense up!

Just kill the monsters, and exit stage left (you'll be back shortly.)

Larai Cliff-Dungeon [2]

Enemies
-5 Green Worms
-4 Mudmen
-8 Spinning Pedestals
Life up!

Go left on entering to kill the 5 worms, then go back and up the stairs. Kill the rest of the enemies, and exit to the south. Killing the last spinning pedestal reveals a set of stairs that make it quicker to return to Larai Dungeon 1.

Larai Cliff-Main [2]

Items
-Diamond-shaped Block

Grab the diamond-shaped block.

Secure the goods!

With that in hand, head back to Larai Cliff 1, to:
Ditch your newfound item...to make a path, of course.

USE the goods!

Exit south.

Larai Cliff Main [3]

Enemies
-3 Mudmen
-2 Spinning Pedestals
(Power up revealed later)

Go down the ladder and head right, do NOT jump down any holes quite yet. Killing the last Spinning Pedestal reveals a ladder back to Larai Cliff Main [1] (entrance). Go down the far right ladder, and into the room.

Larai Cliff-Dungeon [3]

Enemies
-2 Mudmen
(Power up revealed later)

Items
-Herb

In this room there is a skeleton on the floor with a note. This has little importance, except for revealing a few things you'll find later (Ie; a Kruk). Therefore ignore the note, and kill the mudmen, then go up the ladder.
Use the Psycho Dash to destroy the statues.Seek, Ram, and destroy!

After destroying the statues, head up and get the herb from the treasure chest. Don't worry, you'll be back to take care of the rest of the enemies later! For now, return to Larai Cliff Main [3].

Larai Cliff-Main [3]

Go back up the ladder and head left a little...hop down the hole in the center plot of land. Then, enter the door.GERONIMO!!

Larai Cliff-Dungeon [4]

Enemies
-1 Mudman
-4 Spinning Pedestals
-3 Green Worms
Strength up!

Don't forget, destroy the statue with the Psycho Charge! That said, exit at through the doorway at the top.

Larai Cliff-Dungeon [5]

Enemies
-8 Acid Puddles
-1 Statue Head
(Power up revealed later)

Kill the enemies, and make your way through this screen. You'll come back later as Freeden to reach the other statue head. Until then, exit south.

Larai Cliff-Main [4]

Enemies
-2 Blue Worms
-1 Spinning Pedestal
(Power up revealed later)

There is a skeleton with a clue/note mentioning moving golden statues. Head up the ladder to the right, and go into the door on the left. Defeating the spinning pedestal opens up a ladder to Larai Cliff Main [3].

Larai Cliff-Dungeon [6]

Enemies
-4 POTENTIAL Gold Statues (Fire)
(~NO~ Power up)

NOTE that you will ~NOT~ get a power up for defeating the four golden statues. The object in this room is a puzzle, not to take out the monsters.
The note on the skeleton said to move the statues so...Telekenisis! Move them all onto the 4 gold plates. Don't step too close or you'll have to fight or flee (you might as well flee, since you don't get anything for beating them...Reset the puzzle by exiting the room). After solving it, enter the opening, and go down the stairs. Move them or lose them buddy!

Larai Cliff-Dungeon [7]

Enemies
-2 Blue Worms
-5 Spinning pedestals
Defense up!

Stepping on the tiles drops stones. Some make bridges, others fall on the floor, representing traps (though its quite impossible for you to get caught in them, so don't worry). Clear your way to the dark space. Make SURE you change into Freeden! Exit through the south exit.

Larai Cliff-Main [5]

Items -Wind Melody

ONLY Freeden can learn the wind melody, so if you didn't change into him, go back and do so. Make your way (as Freeden) back to Larai Dungeon [5] where the statue head still remains. (To get there, go up, up again, around the bend, down in the gold tile room, right and down the ladder, and in the room) This is pretty, but I think someone else will have to play it!

Larai Dungeon [5] (2)

Enemies
-2 Statue Heads
-4 Acid Puddles
Life up!

Kill the statue head that you left until now (Freenden's sword will reach). This opens up a jump path, jump across, and kill the remaining statue head and the acid puddles. Exit through the south.

Larai Cliff-Dungeon [8]

Enemies
-4 Statue Heads
-12 Acid Puddles
-10 Gold Statues Defense up!

Items
-Herb

Kill the statue heads, one opens up a jump spot. After killing hte enemies on one side, jump to the other and clear that area. When you come to a cross section, go left for the herb and a gold statue to kill, then return and go down the stairs. Before exiting, head right and push the button the kill 4 final gold statues. Then, exit south.

Larai Cliff-Main [6]

Enemies
-3 Spinning pedestals
-2 Mudmen
-2 Blue worms
Strength up!

Simply wipe out the enemies. Taking out the last spinning pedestal reveals a ladder to Larai Cliff Main [3]. Enter the door near said ladder.

Larai Cliff-Dungeon [9]

Enemies
-4 Statue Heads
-10 Acid Puddles
-10 Gold Statues
Life up!

Take out all the enemies, making your way through the screen. Push the button the add life to the gold statues, and take the 4 of them out.
When you come to the stairs, make sure to cut through them first, so as not to miss 4 acid puddles, and thus the life power up. After clearing them, head up the stairs and jump across, and exit through the top.Hmm..I wonder why I can walk around these...

Larai Cliff-Dungeon [3] (2)

Enemies
-2 Mudmen
-2 Green worms
-4 Blue worms
Strength up!

Red Jewels
-Red Jewel # 9-In a Treasure Chest

You're back here again. This time there is a useful skeleton clue: "Play the melody in the gold room." Take out the enemies first, then enter the dark space, heal, save, and change back to Will. Exit back to Larai Cliff Dungeon [9] as Will. Once there, go down, left, and down again and enter the pathway.

Larai Cliff-Dungeon [10]

Gold Room

**********This part can be a MAJOR problem for emulator users. Why? Well some of the older emulators that do not support transparancy do not show what is needed to finish this room. The solution is HERE though!

Upon entering the room, equip and play the Wind melody. it says "A tile begins to flash." Several emulator users will wander around the room aimlessly trying to find the flashing tile, but to no avail. This is because the flash is added over the specific tile, and if the emulator does not support transparency (or is not set to), it will NOT flash, and therefore you could spend hours in that room.
After playing the melody, and the tile is flashing, go down to the bottom right, and walk up to the second row from the bottom, and over four from the right. Stand on that tile for 15 (yes it takes about 15!) seconds. Then a doorway will open. Enter the door. That BLASTED thing doesn't flash! Or does it?

Larai Cliff-Main [7]

Go down the right and left ladders, and place Incan Statues A and B respectively (A-Right, B-Left). You should hear a boss "roar". Enter the dark space, heal, save, and MAKE SURE TO CHANGE BACK TO FREEDEN!.
You're now ready to fight the boss, stand in the middle of the three pillars, and you'll fly to the boss' lair. If you stood there by accident, climb the ladder and you can get back to the dark space. Enter the boss' chamber when you're ready. Stupid wind...messes up my hair!
