pullum purna, a sweet, teenage arabian girl, the only child of a prominent and affluent entrepreneur. because of her overprotective father, she had spent her life within the purna's property, and told never to travel outside of those boundaries. such boundaries she never saw, as her father's palace was surrounded by many miles of desert all around, and she knew not how far she would travel before finding so much as a drop of water, much less anything truly worth abandoning the security her home gave her. because of this seclusion, her best friend was her grandfather, who lived in the palace with them. she spent her days learning from him about hinduism, talking happily with him, telling him how her dance lessons were coming along, and such other trivial things. one day, after lunch, she skipped to his quarters in the east wing, greeting the servants who passed her with a swift pirouette and a smile.
