Chapter 1: A New friend

"Kazooie, don't go! I didn't mean to serve you that rubber steak!" Banjo said. But Kazooie had already packed her bags and left Banjo' house. "Now what'll I do? I have no partner now." Just then, Gruntilda sped by on her broomstick, nearly hitting Banjo. Without saying a word, Gruntilda unleashed a homing spell on Banjo, who couldn't avoid it without Kazooie. WHAM! The spell knocked Banjo unconscious. Banjo awoke to see a bird, a little brown bird standing over him. "Pidgey..." It asked in the most curious tone. "Huh? Who are you?" Banjo asked. "Pidgey!" it said. Banjo walked back to his house with Pidgey on his shoulder. Bottles popped out of his mole hill as they walked toward it. "Banjo, am I glad to see you! Gruntilda's got Tooty again!" He cried. "Pidgey?" asked Pidgey. "Oh, Banjo, looks like I should train your new partner." Bottles told him.

"Flap, Pidgey, flap!" "Pidgeyyyyy!" Pidgey squawked before he and Banjo fell down to the ground. "This guy's too small, Banjo." Bottles told him "There is no way that guy can carry you places!" Suddenly, a little grasshopper hopped along the ground near Pidgey. "Pidgey!" Pidgey yelled and stuck his legs out of the backpack and chased after the grasshopper. Bottles smiled. "Hey, Banjo. This guy may be getting the hang of it!" But Pidgey was too small for his head and legs to both stick out of the backpack at the same time. Pidgey steered himself smack into a wall. "Or not." Bottles mumbled. TO BE CONTINUED......
