Spells: 
  • Psi Storm (200, 200)- SC's most deadly magic. Creats a box of "psi-lightning". Does well over 100 damage to units. Kills marines/firebats/zerglings instantly, kills hydras fast. Kills non-moving mutas. It does major damage to any unit. (only works on units)
  • Hallucination (200, 200)- most psycologically damaging spell in SC. Target any unit and two hallucinations of it will appear. These units are under your control- although they don't attack any don't have any special abilities. They take twice normal damage and die after a period of time. Just think- only have 4 scouts? Cast hallucination- now you've got 12!
  • In Comparison:

  • No comparison can be given to High Templars. Use these guys to the best of your abilities. Their spells are unmatched.
  • Effective Uses:

  • Against any grouped units. Psi storm has a non-moving area of effect, so you'll hit more and do more damage to packs of units.
  • They're a great weapon in the fight against mutas. (Psi-storm)
  • Put them behins the lines of your troops. Have them cast spells without being in danger.
  • ...Or why not send them right at an attacking force? Weaken their numbers before your troops start to fight.
  • "Mage-bomb". A term from War2- you send in a templar to cast psi storm at a target. You shouldn't expect it to live.
  • Hallucinate important or powerful units before going into combat. Especially things like carriers, arbiters, archons. They'll draw quite a bit of fire away from your actual army.
  • Dying templar who've used their energy? Merge 'em into archons! The archon even adds their kill totals...
  • Good when used with...

  • Reavers. Psi storm wastes troops and reavers take out buildings.
  • Energy Upgrade. A templar with this upgrade can cast 3 psi storms at max energy.
  • Shuttles. Drop a templar in... psi storm peon units... hop out. Quick and hard to stop.
  • Powerful units. Hallucinate them and watch your opponett waste their attacks on non-real targets while you crush them with your actual force.
  • For just a guy in a robe... they pack a punch.
