Boss Strategies Mantis ant-This boss is easy because you can't die! If you fall jema will revive you.

Tropicallo-This fight is a lot easier if you have the girl-just give her the spear and have the hero use the sword. If you don't have her, give the spear to the hero. Strike it whenever it emerges from the ground and avoid the pumpkin bombs by constantly moving.

Spiky tiger-Ho boy, this is a tough boss. First buy every type of healing items from neko, then equip your newest character (the last one to join) with the spear, the hero with the boomerang or bow, and the remaining character with the sword. Control the one with the spear and charge it to level2 and strike. If you get engulfed switch and use a medical herb. When the tiger jumps onto a platform, switch to the hero and use the long range weapon you gave him. If you still can't beat it, then reset and level up for a while.

Tonpole/biting lizard-Equip everyone with long range weapons, and just keep your distance when fighting it. When tonpole morphs, try to stay away from the way its looking so it can't eat you. This boss won't last long

Fire Gigas-Make sure undine is at level1 for both characters first. When you fight him, control the boy and keep striking with a melee weapon. Have the sprite always casting freeze, and the girl healing when neccasary. Be warned-his exploder spell can do a lot of damage so keep you characters health above half at all times.

Wall face-This boss is easy just level gnome up a level before fighting it, then cast gem missle over and over on the central eye.

Kilroy-Spells won't work on this guy so just focus on long range weapons because his hammers can rack up lots of damage plus they can moogle and pygmize you. Set the girl on keep away on the action grid so she can cast spells without getting hit.

Jabberwocky-Bring a fairie walnut to this battle-you'll need it. Have the sprite cast gem missle, the girl cast cure water (youll need to heal alot) and the boy attack with the whip. He can cast exploder so beware.

Spring beak-An easy boss. Just cast earth slide a few times and it will fall. If gnome is at a low level however, use the whip on the girl and the spear on the boy.

Great viper-Use air blast, and, unless you leveled sylphid up, bring a couple of walnuts. Be sure to have remedy ready, as the viper will pygmize a lot, and it does a good amount of damge each time it does this. It has over 1000 hp so be ready for a lengthy battle.

Mech rider (Geshtar)-Because of the large arena, its easy to get overwhelmed here, but don't panic just stay in a corner and wait for him to come to you. When he does appear, cast air blast on him. He can also knock you unconscious if he hits you hard enough so keep that in mind.

Boreal face-This can be tough boss if you are reliant on magic; only weapons will do the job here. First, equip everyone with a melee weapon (axe, spear, sword, glove) and control a weaker character. This boss fights the same way that Tropicallo did, just strike when it unburrows, and you don't need to worry about pumpkin bombs. If you can't beat him, return to the forest and build up your levels; ice country is one of the best places to build up so it won't be hard.

Frost Gigas-This boss is easy if you leveled up salamando and have at least one walnut. Just cast fireball again and again. Don't bother with weapons as he will cast ice saber on you, which will heal him.

Minotaur-Also easy. Thunderbolt or air blast will do the job in about 4 castings. If you run out of mp, just use long range weapons and stay out of its way.

Doom wall-Almost identical to the wall face, cast earth slide on its middle eye. This wall has something that you should worry about though, if you kill its 2 outer eyes, then it will move towards the back and squish you, so make sure you target the center eye.

Vampire-This boss may intimidate you, but gem missle will quickly dispose of it. When it jumps, don't get caught by it, or it will drain life from you.

Metal Mantis-What a joke, this boss can be killed easily by weapons or gnome magic. It uses no magic only "beams" which can easily be dodged.

Mech rider2 (Geshtar again)-Same as the first, this boss is easily killed by thunderbolt. The arena is the same too so just use the same strategy.

Dread slime-This boss can quickly smother your party so be fast when attacking it. Cast exploder on it and be sure to have a walnut or two. You may also want to cast fire saber to add to the damage, because the faster you attack it, the faster it will shrink giving you more breathing room.

Blue spike-Strongly resembles the spiky tiger. You may think this boss will be hard like the first tiger, but earth slide will wear him down quickly. The magic may not do much damage, but it will wear him down, and it takes a lot to defeat him.

Gorgon bull-Cast thunderolt maybe 3 times and it will be gone. If you have touble, level up sylphid and return. Don't even bother with weapons.

Aegagropilon (Sheex)-This is basically the only mana magic monster, and he is a tough one. Cast dark orb, gem missle, or exploder and heal often because sometimes he will assault you with constant burst spells. He also casts sleep flower, but not very often. Also be ready with dispel magic as he will cast wall a lot. When he rolls around the room, stay on the edges on the arena.

Hydra-Can cause mass damage, but if you cast salamando fast enough, it won't even get a chance. If it regenerates one of its heads, it hasn't regained hp, just another head to attack. This boss is just a warmup of those to come in the city so don't waste too much energy on it.

Kettle Kin-Magic is not very effective against the scorpion armie's newest creation, but since it casts lucid barrier often, use gnome to wear it down. This boss Doesn't have much hp so don't worry about using up all your mp.

Snap dragon-Just like the biting lizard, but a lot harder. Don't go near him, he can suck out about 200 hp in a bite. Use long range weapons, and cast salamando.

Hexas (Fhana)-The whip is the best weapon here because hexas moves around the screen. Attack her with the whi and earth slide, but the magic isn't neccasary if you have the whip up to at least level6. Also, keep the midge mallet ready because she will pygmize you a lot.

Mechrider3 (Geshtar yet again)-This is the worst fight in the game, not becuase hes hard, but because it takes almost 20 minutes to defeat him. Magic barely hurts him (and he casts wall) and weapons do little damage. And with 4000+ hp it takes FOREVER to finally put him down for good.

Dragon worm-The first of many bosses in pureland, he fights very similar to the great viper, and has the same weakness . Keep your distance and use thunderbolt. he can rack up a lot of damage so keep cure water going.

Snow dragon-An impressive dragon with an obvious weakness. Use only magic in this battle because, you will find out in this area that dragons are quite powerful. Obviously fireball is the magic of choice, just cast it along with expolder here and there and it will be easy.

Axe beak-This monster is almost the opposite of the spring beak, and is succeptible to undine (freeze). It jumps around a lot so weapons are hard to use against it, but whip is the best choice.

Red dragon-This one shouldn't be too hard just keep on freeze, and avoid staying near it because the dragons tail can engulf you.

Thunder gigas-Although the other gigas in the game were easy, this one is harder. Use earth slide, and try to kill it as soon as possible. Keep your hp high because its blitz breath can do some serious damage. You may want to cast wall for this battle, but unless you have a lot of mp to spare and dryad is at at least level5 you may reconsider.

Blue Dragon-Definetly the hardest dragon, it wil assault you with constant air attacks and the deadly blitz breath. Use earth slide and be quick; this boss has the second highest strength in the game.

Buffy the (not slayer)Vampire-Buffy fights in the same fashion as thanatos' vampire, but is more deadly. Use lucent beam and a light charged whip and she won't last long.

Lime slime-Oddly enough, this boss is weak against shade, so use dark force to beat it. Unlike the dread slime, this one will expand, eventually stoping all movement. Just keep with dark force and you'll be in good shape.

Dark Lich (Thanatos)-I consider this boss the hardest simply because he has the ability to instantly kill one of your characters. Use lucent beam and set the attack gauge on keep away/defend for all characters. If you can't spare the mp for lucent beam, use light saber on the hero and equip him with the whip. Charge it up and strike. If you survive you should be able to finish the game without much difficulty.

The mana beast-The final boss, it looks a lot like an evil flammie. The battle area here is VERY small, but it doesnt really matter as there is no way to avoid its attacks. Cast mana magic on the hero and equip him with the sword. Strike with the sword every time the beast flies by. Don't even bother with any magic other than cure water or mana magic, because the beast will constantly cast wall, dispel magic, lucent beam, and dark force lvl8 a lot. Just keep with the base stratgy, recasting mana magic whenever needed and you should be it on the first try.
