This section is for frequently asked questions. In reality, this was a page full of problems I merely assumed people commonly ran into.

What are the 9th level weapons?
The 9th level weapons are potent weapons that can only be obtained by fighting certain monsters in the mana fortress. The following is a list of their names, and monster that carried the orb needed.

Sword: Mana sword
Location: See below (Note: There is no way to obtain the mana sword by using convential methods, IE: the only way to get this weapon is to take advantage of a bug

Spear: Daedous lance
Location:Tsunamis

Axe: Doom axe
Location: Fiend heads

Knuckle: Aura Glove
Location: Wolflords

Javalin: Valkrian
Location: Whimpers

Bow: Garuda Buster
Location: Metal crabs

Boomerang: Ninja's trump
Location: Master ninjas

Whip: Gigas whip
Location: Terminators

How do I get the 9th level sword orb?

First save your file into a blank file because this trick can competly ruin a saved game. Then call flammie and fly to the ice country look around the edges for a small island near the ice palace. Land on it and talk to neko, and save your game. Reset the game using L+R+select+start and start a new game. Work your way to the mantis ant. Dont fight it, wait for elliott and jema to say their lines then reset using the controller and hold for 5 seconds. Resume the save game in the ice country. If it worked, you should be in the mantis ant battle. Defeat it and you will recive the sword orb. Call flammie as soon as you exit and have watts forge the sword. You will permantly have the mana sword. But when you fight the mana beast, after mana magic wears off the sword will dissapear and you will be unarmed. equip the gloves, then switch to the sword to counter this glitch (also if you don't have the 8th level sword, you can keep doing this to get more and more orbs, but when you recive one over9, your game will freeze).

Alternate method of finding level 9 weapons
This is a different, easier way to obtain these ultra weapons, however like the sword trick above, it can be quite buggy, so use at your own risk! This trick was submitted by Hobby, and below is his exact text.
1.Save your game on 2 files incase it screws up. (Do NOT save the extra game at neco, save it at some Inn before you go to Neko.)
2.Go to the island by the Ice Castle and save with Neko
3.Exit out using the L+R+Start+Select thing.
4.Load a game where you are just about to fight a boss that will give you an orb, (Ill use spear orb)
5.Get to the boss and when the you are actually fighting the boss (You can move and swing your sword) quickly exit out of the game with L+R+Start+Select. Hold the buttons for 5 seconds.
6.Load the the file that is saved by neco in Ice Forest.
7.You should be fighting the boss you exited at. Kill him and get the "Spear Orb."
8.Use Escape Rope to get to somewhere where you can use Flammie Drum. If you are already outside, use Flammie Drum. If you can't use Escape Rope in the building, run out and use Flammie Drum. Basically, quickly get on Flammie ASAP so nothing buggy happens (I havent had a problem with it, but Ive always got on Flammie ASAP, so I dont know.)
9.Go to Gold Isle (Not sure if it matters, I just know it works there so I havent gone elsewhere.) and upgrade your item.
10. TaDah! You got a level 9 item.

Where is the underground palace?
The underground palace is in dwarf city, but you can't enter it until you get undine magic.

How do I defeat elinee's pet?
Stock up on every item you can then equip the character who joined last with the spear (Which should be at level 2) the hero with the sword and the remaining character with the boomerang or bow. Control the one with the spear and charge up and attack the tiger. When he casts blaze wall switch and use herbs. Switch to the character with the boomerang when he jumps onto a platform.

What does shadow zero do?
Shadow zero is a harmless character that sometimes appears in boxes. He won't do anything except run away.

How do I know if a treasure box has a trap in it?
Cast analyze and if it blinks red it means there is trap in it.

Where do I get salamando magic?
Go to the hidden paradise above where you fought boreals face. Walk up to the stove in the center and a scorpion boy will tell you to watch it. When given the choice open it. Salamando will burst out and grant you magic.

How do I defeat dark lich?
There are two ways to defeat this tough boss. If your magic points are low then use this method. Level the whip up to at least 6, cast light saber on it and charge it up. Attacking dark lich with this will do tremendous amounts of damage. If you dont use the whip or have high amounts of mp, then just continually cast lucent beam.

I heard there is a sequal to SoM. Is this true?
Yes there are two other games that are part of the Seiken densetsu series besides SoM. One of them is final fantasy adventure, the prequel. You can find this game boy title around just about anywhere. It involves more puzzle solving than SoM. Seiken Densetsu 3, the sequel, you wont find. It was only released in japan. The 4th part is legend of mana which is currently available for playstation

I keep dying in pure land
Many players are killed in pure land because their armor is inferior. You need to buy new armor from neko outside the tree palace to survive pure land

Where is the best armor?
The best armor can only be found in the mana fortress. The power suit can be obtained from whimpers, the fairie cloak from master ninjas, the fairie crown from terminators, and the fairie ring from wolflords. These arent as rare as the orbs, but it may take you a few hours.

How do i kill those damn terminators?!
Terminators can be annoying as they are the exact opposite of their look-alikes. Don't cast lucent beam, cast dark force, and don't even bother with weapons they cast lucent barrier all the time.
