Undine - Water element

Cure Water 2mp - Restores partial hp to one or all
The single most important spell in SoM. 

Remedy 1mp - Returns status to normal
Second in line to Cure Water, this removes pesky status effects such as engulfed and poisoned.

Ice saber 2mp - Weapon frosties upon hitting
Like all saber spells, (and like the Sprite's basic attack magic) this spell is only useful against a monster
of the opposite element. Ice saber can also inflict the frosty status.


Gnome - Earth element

Speed up 3mp - Raises evade
The recast on this spell is high, and at 3mp, it is hardly worth casting at low levels, except on the hardest hitting
bosses.

Defender 2mp - Increases defense
This spell is much more potent than speed up, and lasts longer. Still, it should be used in moderation, and mp's should
be saved for cure water.

Stone saber 4mp - Stones monsters when hit
The stone effect is a double-edged sword. The monster cannot move, allowing for recovery, but no damage can be inflited
while stoned (don't worry, my wit is above cheesy jokes at this point).


Sylphid - Wind Element

Balloon 2mp - The enemy is spaced out
If the party is overwhelmed, this spell can be a lifesaver. But otherwise, it is not worth casting.

Thunder saber 4mp - Thunder status on weapon
Aside from the elemental damage, there is no extra benefit to this spell. Save your magic and have the sprite cast
Sylphid damage spells instead.

Analyzer 2mp - Detect enemy statistics, probe element orbs, and scan treasure chests
Truly a great spell, one that will save much magic when figuring out a bosses weakness.


Salamando - Fire Element

Fire bouquet 3mp - Reduces the attack power of the target
The high cost and low effect of the debuff makes this spell hardly worth the cost.

Blaze wall 4mp - Fire engulfs the enemy
Completely useless, unless the target is distant and out of weapon range. Flame saber can cause the same 
effect, costs less, and when cast on all members, can engulf many monsters.

Fire saber 2mp - Weapons gain the power to engulf monsters


Lumina - Light Element

Lucid barrier 4mp - Prevents physical attacks for a short time
This spell isn't flawless, but it is near-perfect. A great defensive choice when facing monsters that rely
on physical damage.

Lucent beam 8mp - Rays of light strike the enemy
The only true light element attack spell. But because of the high cost, light saber may be a better choice.

Light saber 2mp - Light damage is imbued on player weapons.


Luna - Lunar Element

Moon saber 2mp - HP absorb effect is given to all weapons
And with this spell, the Sprite's HP absorb spell is retired completely. A quick, effective way to keep player
health high without having to cast cure water endlessly.

Lunar boost 3mp - Attack is raised, evade is lowered.
Cast on the boy, the penalty is well worth the benefit. The Sprite is more reliant on evade though, so think twice
before casting it on him.

Moon energy 2mp - Raises the frequency of critical strikes.
A great spell, simply because there are no drawbacks. Cast this every boss battle.


Dryad - Tree/Mana elemant

Wall 4mp - Reflective barrier from magic attacks
While the wall is up, curative magic will also be reflected, so be wary when casting this magic.

Reviver 10mp - Revives 1 deceased character
If this spell cost less, it would rival Cure water in potency. However, because it is the most expensive spell in the game
and because the initial recovery hp is so low, it should only be used when you are out of cups of wishes.

Mana magic 1mp - Revives mana sword when coupled with the Sprite's magic.
