This was a wake-up call. I know what I need to do now.

Three hours. That's how long I made it before. I need to do better. I need to work at this, stretch it out.

In the middle of a field of perennial wheat, Whitehills far enough away, stepping carefully to not damage the crop; nothing around me but the sounds of pseudavians, breezes in the wheatstalks, strange chirruping of local insects:

I lie down in the wheat, close my eyes, try to unwind the emotions wrapped up tight in string in my chest, and practice being alone.
