8/31/98 Be Thou a Proud Member of the Royal Guard... Last evening after the Royal House meeting, Sladric was inducted into the Royal Guard, and given the title of Paladin in the order of the White Dragons. Congratulations, Sladric!!!

Tourney Grove Contest
Sladric would like to announce the next DKoL Tournament of Champions, to be held September 25, 26, and 27 at 8pm EST in Tourney Grove. There are 3 level categories, and prizes will be awarded to the winners of each category:
Level <75 - 4-permed Defender
Level 76-150 - Belt of Carry w/str&dex
Level 151+ - 4-permed Wrath
The Tournament is for DKoL members only, and contestants are asked not to use the following tactics while in combat: Rust, Incinerate, Death Wish, Wrath of the Gods, Biting, Kissing, or Offensive Touching. *wink*
Oh by the way, the winners of each category at the end of the Tournament get to gang up and beat on the Prince...just a little added incentive there.

What's New from the Realm Team ****** 08/25/98 @ 1:00pm *****
The quests have been repaired and are now available. Since the objective of the quests were to obtain skill books, if you already have completed those skills you will not see them. Not all skills require quests. All magic systems do. Most weapon systems require them for Levels 4 and 5. Skill books not available in quests are still available in Academy shops. All Skill books obtainable through quests are no longer available in shops. Also included in this update are fixes for negative ep in combat (artificial level bug), as well as a couple new (small) areas for exploration, additional talk tree data, and minor cosmetic changes.
8/25/98 Royal House/Round Table Meeting A reminder, the weekly RH/RT meeting is tonight at 8pm EST at the guild house!
8/24/98 WTG Members! Kudos to all members who received medals and promotions last night at the guild meeting. For all that you do, you are very appreciated.
After the meeting a small impromptu party was thrown for XSkye, who will be leaving us soon for college. Bon Voyage, XS, and keep up those grades so you can come back and see us! *wink*

4) Take the kids shopping for school clothes

6) Clean out your hard drive
7) Do that update to your homepage/website that you have been procrastinating on
8) Clean the last 6 weeks of spills out of your keyboard
9) Call a Realm friend and chat on the phone
10) Come to the Town Hall and count all the posts that shout "Why can't I sign on??"
11) Clean that ugly algae from your fish tank, and change the water
(could this be why your fish are dying?)
12) Find out that you do indeed have real dishes after you've
uncovered them in the sink, and decide to clean them instead of using paper plates
13) Remember that tan you wanted?
Summer's close to being over, so go grab a few hours
14) Do the laundry (you know, that pile that blocks
your entrance to the washer and dryer)
15) Find out you still have a significant other (hopefully),
or find someone who can be (heh heh heh)
16) Visit web sites which discuss medieval times and bone up on your role-playing speak
17) Visit the Ivory Moon Cafe message board and read the wonderful stories
18) Do something you haven't done in months, like update
the virus patterns in your anti-virus software
19) Visit a computer store and drool over the new models, modems, monitors, and other components, and immediately check what your credit limits are
20) Order another copy of the Realm for a friend :-)
8/20/98 Boys Will Be Boys What does the King do when he's feeling a little spunky? Why, pvp in Tourney Grove butt nekkid of course! Whether it's trading blows with his lovely wife, dueling with the Prince and Princess, or knocking his nephew to the ground (see picture below), LordAchilles knows how to have a good time..although sometimes he dies in the process. *wink*
