Level: 5
Range: 5 yards/level
Components: V,S,M
Duration: 2d6 rounds
Casting Time: 6
Area of Effect: One person
Saving Throw: Special, see below
When this spell is cast, a beam of black energy shoots out of the
casting mage's palm. Any 1 person who is hit by this spell must save
vs. spells at -2 or lose half their levels. If they save, they lose
one level. This loss lasts for 2d6 rounds. Only one person can be
affected by this spell. The material componet for this spell is a
black precious gem of at least 250 gp value (typically a fine piece of
onyx, jet, or obsidan is used. If the GM desires, the save against
this spell can be lowered by -1 for every 250 gp increment value of
the material componet. So a 1000 gp onyz would lower the save vs.
this spell by -3)
