The State of Things...
This site was born right around the time that development of GK3 was announced. Although I originally intended to cover all three GK games, the frenetic hunt for clues about GK3's plot and a constant stream of news and developments distracted me. As you can see from browsing my news archives, most of the time spent developing this site concerned news and information about GK3. Well, GK3 was released a year ago, and it is apparent that no new GK game is on the horizon. So I sit here today, pondering what will become of my site. Several other GK websites have been put on temporary or permanent hiatus. Thankfully, most of these are still around, they just will not be updated. Given that lately I have had little spare time, mainly due to academic pursuits, I guess I could follow their lead. However, I think I view this time as an opportunity to return to the founding purpose of my site. Without the need to stay daily abreast of news, no longer having to comb dozens of pages for new GK information, I can now direct my attention to the neglected portions of my site. I will still report any news I happen upon, however I will focus the time I spend on this website on research and articles about the supernatural, as it ties into the Gabriel Knight universe. I will also complete the information about the GK1 and GK2 games, and overhaul the GK3 section. With the unpredictable nature of my schedule, I will not put any of this on any sort of timetable. But I hope you stop by every once in awhile to see what is new. I have winter break coming up in two weeks, so hopefully there will be some additions at that time. I am really looking forward to this "rebirth" of my website. To all of the friends I have made through our GK connection, I am still here, just extremely busy. I hope all is well with you, and I will try to get in touch soon. ~ Lynne ~ |

Jane Jensen Update
GK creator Jane Jensen has her own website, http://www.janejensen.com. You'll find information about the three GK games and the two GK novels. There are also details about her first novel, Millenium Rising, now retitled Judgement Day, and her upcoming release, Dante's Equation. Don't miss the extensive Bio and the Press section. Jane's novel, Millenium Rising, has been released by Ballantine in paperback form under the title Judgement Day. Voodoo Extreme conducted an interview with Jane in September. |

Egg Update
First, the solution to the Xx on C clue: When Gabriel is at the Devil's Armchair, while the police cars are there, click 10 times with the "look" icon on either of the cars, and Gabe will tell a joke. Regarding the rest of the eggs, since the egg trigger has been disabled in the game, we need to use the console interface to set the flag ourselves. To enable the console, press Ctrl-Shift-~ (that last character is a tilde, found just to the left of the 1 key). If you're outside the USA, you probably need to change your keyboard settings to a USA keyboard. When the console is active, a purple box will be seen in the upper left corner of the screen. The first thing you should try is the ClownShoes command. In the console, type ClownShoes, then hit the space bar. Inside the quotes, type the name of a character in the game (ie. gabriel, grace, buthane, jean). Hit enter and watch what happens. To activate the rest of the Easter eggs, type SetFlag in the console, then hit the space bar. Inside the quotes, type egg, then hit enter. Once the trigger is set, you'll see an egg icon in the verb menu when you click on certain objects/people. A nice one to start with is Jean. A list of eggs is being maintained at http://home.columbus.rr.com/tree/gkeggs.htm. Nico has also posted a list at Sidney. I'll be adding a list to my site in the near future.
