New Designer Diary Entry

Jane's added a new entry to her GameSpot Designer Diary. Check out what she has to say about writing dialogue, picking the cast for GK3, and visiting that mysterious European village where GK3 is set.

Out with the old...

...and in with the new! The weekly sampling at the Sierra MP3 page brings us the Transformation Aria from the opera in GK2. This is the same song that's on the GK2 page, but it sounds much clearer! Again, it'll only be available for a week, so catch it while you can!

More about GK3 & InterAction magazine

I received my copy in the mail today, and frantically searched for the GK3 info. Christy's right - most of the text is taken straight from the GK3 site. However the pictures are new and interesting. If I had access to a scanner I'd post them, but...oh well.

Anyway, we get a more detailed view of Mosely's motel room, and a look at a character who hasn't been introduced to us yet. As Christy said, he looks kind of scholarly, so it's possible that he's a professor or historian who helps Grace with her research. Or maybe he owns the motel where Gabe and Grace are staying? I wonder if he'll be the next character revealed on the GK3 page...

InterAction magazine

The new issue of InterAction was sent out last week, and some people have already received it (I'm still waiting for mine;). Christy Lein received hers yesterday and told me some of the highlights:

A small blip on GK3. Nothing new really said.....but

They had pictures I haven't seen. One was a new view of gabe and the bike. One was mosely with that same stupid shirt, but you can see something on the floor behind him some paper rolled up (maybe a map). A painting on the wall, a vase, and some kind of wooden box on the night table next to the bed.

I was never able to download that .avi of Mosely so maybe this is just new to me.

Last was a picture of a man I did not recognize. It has that same 3-d look to it as Mosely, but he looks "learned" I don't know how to describe him. Brown jacket, white T-shirt, grey (maybe) hair.

Sierra GK Site - Minor Changes

Just wanted to mention a few minor changes to the Sierra GK pages. A link to Tom Lewandowski's website, Quest Studios has been added to the Music and Images section of the GK1 page. There is now a link to the Gabriel Knight III Designer Diary on both the Jane Jensen page and the GK3 Links page. Finally, David Henry's team bio has been updated to clarify his role on the GK3 team.

GK Newsletter

Anyone who's signed up for the GK Fan Club should have received the first issue of the GK newsletter. If you're not signed up, go do it now, before you miss any more insider info! Congratulations to Greg Mackey who submitted the winning title "The Schattenjäger Diaries". (Hmm, perfect choice ;)

The new webweaver, Adam Bormann, is introduced to us, and Jane's answers to the questions posed by GK fans are also included.

Actually, it looks like Jane might have dropped a couple of hints about GK3:

When asked if she believes in any of the occult or magic portrayed in her stories, Jane responded, "...if you're asking me if I believe in werewolves and vampires, no -- at least, not literally..."

One other intriguing remark from Jane: "...many things about the series have been life-long interests, such as the Inquisition..."

The Inquisition was mentioned in one of the texts in the Schattenjäger Library in GK1, however I don't recall any vampires in either of the games. Guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Sierra MP3s
