BACKGROUND
The Bioroid Scout was the second last of the Bioroids to be developed by the Robotech Masters. Whereas the previous Standard Combat (Blue and Green) Bioroids had been designed exclusively for combat duties, the Bioroid Scout was designed to gather information on the enemy.
The design was based on that of the Standard Combat (Blue) Bioroid. This was done to make the design and production of the mecha much easier, and to reduce matinence and supply needs. The Head was fitted with an advanced sensory and radar system designed to gather and record as much information as possible. These were the most advanced sensors ever installed on a mecha. The new head design neccitated a re-design of the torso with not one but two power cables on the chest. This would later go on to influence the design of the high-powred Invid Fighter Bioroid. Due to the complexity of the sensory systems the Scout was allways piloted by a fully developed Type Three Clone.
The Scout was the same blue-grey colour as the Standard Combat Bioroid, goving it some degree of anonimity on the battlefied. Often they were sent ahead of the main force to determine the enemy's strengh. Althernately, they would accmpany an advance group to record data for future use. However, towards the end of the Robotech Master's empire, they were often pressed into frontline service as more and more Standard Combat Bioroids were destroyed by the Invid and later the Southern Cross. Most of those that accompanyed the Robotech Master son their journey to Earth were destroyed, or recycled into the more powerful Invid Fighters.

Bioroid Laser Drum. The sole weapon of the Bioroid Scout is a hand-held Laser Cannon, the same as on the Blue Bioroid.
- Purpose: Assault.
- Range: 1200m
- Mega-Damage: 6D6 MD
- Rate of Fire: Equal to the total hand-to-hand attacks of the pilot.
- Payload: Effectively unlimited.
- Hand to Hand Combat. Rather than use any weapons, the Bioroid Scout can opt to engage in hand to hand combat.
- Punch: 2D4 MD
- Kick: 2D6 MD
- Body Flip/Throw: 2D6 MD
- Body Block/Tackle: 2D8 MD plus knockdown.
STANDARD EQUIPMENT FOR THE BIOROID SCOUT:
- Radar: Range: 50 km. Standard operation.
- Advanced Radar & Sensory Systems: Built into the head of the bioroid. Radar range is 300 km, and can track & identify 100 targets simultaneously.
- Radio/Video Communications: Wide band, directional radio and video telecast capabilities. Range: 1000km, or can be boosted by satellite.
- Laser Targeting System: Close range; 3 km
- Combat Computer: Calculates, stores & monitors data on the control panel computer screen or Heads-up display
- External Audio Pickup: Range: 300 ft (91.5 m). A sound amplification system that can pick up normal conversation up to 300 feet away.
- Optics: Infrared: Range: 2000 feet (610 m). This optical system projects a beam of infrared light that is invisible to the normal eye, but detectable by the mecha's sensors. The system allows the pilot to detect hidden/concealed objects by their IR reflectiveness. The beam will be visible to anyone with IR sensitive optics, however.
- Optics: Nightvision: Range: 2000 feet (610 m). A passive light image intensifier that emits no light of its own, but relies on ambient light which is electronically amplified to produce a visible picture.
- Optics: Thermal Imager: Range: 2000 feet (610 m). A passive optical heat sensor that detects infrared radiation projected by warm objects and converts that data into a false-colour visible image. The system enables the pilot to see in the dark, in shadows, and through smoke, and also adds a +10% bonus to pilots using a tracking skill.
- Protoculture Engine: The Bioroid Scout is powered by a Protoculture engine, giving is an average life span of 12 years. Constant use will cut that time to about half.
HAND TO HAND COMBAT BONUSES FOR BIOROID COMBAT TRAINING:
- Covers all types of Bioroid.
- 2 attacks per melee (plus those of the pilot)
- +1 to strike
- +2 to parry
- +2 to dodge
- +2 to rolll with a punch or impact, reducing damage by half
- Critical strike same as pilot's hand to hand.
- Bioroid Scout has an addtional +1 initiative and +1 dodge while the head sensor systems are operational.

Conversion Notes
The RPG Misidetified this mecha as the Invid Fighter Bioroid. The info on this mecha, like all the bioroids, is somewhat sccatty. The designation of this mecha as a Scout Bioroid was inspired by the Robotech Technical Files, and may not hold true to it's Southern Cross incarnation.
