This began as a joke. Really.

During a stupid conversation over lunch, the topic of Beast Machines came up, and the fact that Waspinator had somehaow transversed space and some four million years of time to arrive on Cybertron, only to be turned into Thrust. At that point, one question came up:

"What happened to Inferno and Quickstrike?

For no real reason, I quickly reached the conclusion that the two of them were alive and well, and running a burger bar on the shabby south side of Cybertron. Hence the fanfic was born.

I Might even write another chapter... Yeah, right.
