Mike's Virtual Boy Page

Virtual Boy: the biggest turd since Sega's 32X...or is it? Most people have never played Virtual Boy, and that's probably due to the fact that the suggested retail price of $200, and most people, including myself, decided that they would rather spend that sort of money on a Super Nintendo or a Genesis. So, the novel 3D portable gaming system quietly faded away into the back rooms of toy stores across the nation. Suddenly, it popped back up in places like Toys R' Us, Target, and the Electronics Boutique and, hey, it was cheap! Yes, Nintendo stopped the production of Virtual Boys and prices dropped dramatically. I got my Virtual Boy for $20 at Target and all my games for $5. With prices like that, why the hell not buy a Virtual Boy? I bought several of the games and I'm only missing three, which I seriously doubt I'm ever going to find... Soon the games were gone and the system had vanished for good. Yes Virtual Boy is nothing more than a faint memory in the minds of gamers. I pity those who missed playing the Virtual Boy.

The thing is, although many people think otherwise, Virtual Boy is actually a decent system. The graphics, in most games, are quite detailed and well done and the audio is also fairly good. Dispite popular opinion, Virtual Boy is a damn good system. So, if you see a Virtual Boy, buy it. I mean, what have you got to lose? The graphics are a hell of a lot better than Game Boy, so it's easier to play and it's only $20!! All of you guys who own Virtual Boys, um, good job, or something. You got an eye for games.
