The Earlish are a people who like those of the other
Garaleyan Nations find their origins going back to the Celtic peoples who
first inhabited the lands. The Earlish however have come a long way since
their Celtic beginnings and are a much more civilised race.
They are a very religious people who still worship the
old Celtic Gods both individually and through a collective church known
as the Holy Order of the Oak.
Culturally they have advanced to early Renaissance however
at the same time much of their culture is embroiled in chivalry and romance.
(In other words you have both the advancements of the Renaissance and the
feudal system of Arthurian Britain.)
Most young noble boys are trained as squires in the ways
of the court and of warfare so that they may one day go on to become Knights.
Some go on to become Knights of the court rather than of the field. Usually
however the first son of any noble family goes on improving his skill at
arms in case he is called upon to defend his family and holdings.
The Earlish are a proud people who dislike showing any
sign of weakness. They are proud of their country and in times of crisis
come together. Even Earlish men who are enemies will come together to fight
for their country in times of war.
Physical Description
