The Garaleyen Elves are a rare and quiet race who originated from the union of humans and fairies, these were the the first of the new races to come about this way. As a race their are extremely few of them and there are rarely communities of them, when there are its only small villages. They have no fixed land of their own so they often wander the lands looking for a place to settle. Most settle in the Garaleyan lands, Irenand in particular where they are welcomed more than anywhere else. Recently a few have started claiming that they are not the after product between human and fairies and that their ancestors travelled from another continent to get to these lands and so these same Elves are either trying to find their long lost land or trying to get recognition as a fully independent race who should have their own land to rule. Of course all the human races and other races see this as foolish and never listen to such silly ideas.
Physical Description
Elves are a light framed race (you never find a
over weight elf) who stand about 5ft1 to 6ft1 in men, 5ft to 6ft in women.
Their hair colour can be any colour but it is always the very purest in
colour and never a mixture. Elves have no body hair whatsoever. Their eye
colours are usually green or blue yet they aren’t always. The manner of
their clothing varies with the country that they are in.
Due to their fairy origins Elves have strange abilities
within forests, first of all they cannot be seen by the normal eye if they
so wish it within deep parts of forests, but it doesn't mean they cannot
be heard. Also they have a natural feel for the forests and so have strange
senses when within, this means that at nighttime or when their blinded
or any other sight hindrance they use a sort of extra sensory ability which
means that the forest comes alive in their mind and by this they can find
their way around with no difficulty.
Due to their natural affinity with nature whenever they
go into a large civilised area ie a town or city they have a -1 penalty
on all rolls for the next three days while they adjust. If they leave a
largely populated area for another it doesn't automatically mean that they
will get this penalty again because they have got used to it however if
they spend three days travelling there in the wilds then they have re-adjusted
to the country and so therefore do get the penalty again.
