Question to ALL gamers :
What is the PRECISE determining factor in gaining weapons levels ?
I understand the general idea of " the more you use it, the better you'll be at it ", but there's gotta be some more mathematical explanation.  Is it about EXP points gained while equipped with the weapon (if so, how much does it take to raise a level ?) ?  Is it about HP damage inflicted while using it ?  Is it simply the number of successful attacks made with it ?  The number of kills made with it ?  Here are some facts that might help :
1- Some characters, such as Irene, Grace, Masqurin and Noon, have been known to gain a weapon level while using a spell ;

2- Some characters, such as Irene and Grace, have been known to gain a weapon level while using a HEALING spell on a fellow partner ;

3- Some characters, such as Julian and Synbios, who were carrying many types of weapons, and using one or the other depending on the situation, have been known to gain a weapon level while using a weapon they had just re-equipped (ex : had been switching from sword to knife regularly, then gained a weapon level on the knife just after switching from sword to knife (and performing a successful attack with it) ;

4- Characters have been known to gain a weapon level while performing a non-lethal attack ;

5- Weapon level increase is not connected to character level increase : you can gain a weapon level either simultaneously as a character level or not.
The facts seem to be pointing towards EXP points gained while equipped with the weapon.  If that theory can be confirmed, does anyone know how many EXP points it takes to gain each level ?  e-mail me if you have a confirmed answer, but no guess please...   mailto : salutter@hotmail.com .
