Swords
Kokiri Sword: A small ancient sword passed down throught the generations to all the noble Kokiri. This is your first sword which you find in the Kokiri Forest near the Know-it-all Brother's home

Master Sword: A very powerful sword that will be extremely useful during your quest as an adult seven years later in Link's lifetime. This sword is found in the Temple of Time or Sacred Realm, and is used to travel back and forth through time. It can also deflect certain evil magic.

Giant's Knife: A very large sword that is extremely useless. It breaks after a few hits. Can be found in Gordon City when Link is an Adult but I suggest you don't waste your money on it.
Biggoron's Sword: A very large sword that is exactly like the Giant's Knife only much stronger. Like the Giant's knife, it is too big to use with a shield but can pack a powerful punch to enemies. It also doesn't break. It can be found on the very top of Death mountain as an Adult after a complicated series of objects to trade. ( See Secrets and Tips for details)

Shields
Deku Shield: It is your first shield that you aquire in the game. You can buy it in the shop in Kokiri Forest. It can deflect objects thrown at you except fire. It will burn if fire hits it.

Hylian Shield: The Hylian Shield is a traditional shield used by the soldiers of Hyrule. This shield will repel fire, but it is too big for Link to hold up. When he is equiped with it it stays on his back, which has proven to still be helpful. This shield can be found in the graveyard of Kakariko Village.

Mirror Shield: This is a legendary shield that you aqquire in the Spirit Temple. It has the power to deflect and reflect back certain magic attacks. It can also reflect light.

Tunics

Kokiri Tunic: This is Link's basic clothing throughout the game. This is what Link wears all through his childhood.

Gordon Tunic: This is a specially made tunic that can withstand extreme heat. This is very useful in the Fire Temple. You recieve it when you stop the small gordon in Gordon City from rolling. This tunic is much too large for Link to use as a child.

Zora Tunic: This is yet another specially made tunic that can prevent Link from drowning. It is very useful in the Water Temple. You can recieve this tunic by defrosting the King of Zora. This tunic is too big for Link to use as a child.

Boots

Kokiri Boots: Link's Traditional footwear.

Iron Boots: These boots are impossible to run in but when combined with your Zora Tunic, you can walk on the bottom of Lake Hylia or can also be used to keep you on the ground when going against strong winds. You recieve these boots in the Ice Cavern which is in Ja-bu's Fountain. You can only use these boots only as an adult.

Hover Boots: These boots are found in the Shadow Temple. With them, you can hover over water or thin air, but only for a very short time. You can only use these boots as an adult.

Link's Child Weapons

Gordon's Bracelet: As a child, this bracelet is given to you by the leader of the Gordon's when you play
Saria's Song for him. This bracelet gives you more strength and lets you pick up heavier objects, such as plants and Flower Bombs. You only use this as a child.

Deku Stick: This is a sacred stick from the deku tree. They can be found almost anywhere, especially when you kill enemies. This stick can be lite on fire and can be used as a weak sword but it breaks easily.

Slingshot: This item is found in the Deku Tree Temple. It can be used to activate switches, kill enemies that you can't reach with swords, and possibly knock down old ladders.

Boomerang: This item is used by Link to retrieve things. It can also be used to defeat electric tenticals in Jabu-Jabu's stomach. (
hint-hint)

Deku Nuts: These nuts can be found everywhere all over Hyrule. They are used to temporately stun enemies.

Fairy Ocarina: This is a gift from Saria that you recieve when you leave the forest after defeating the monster in the Deku Tree. It is used to play songs that you collect as you go on your journeys.

Bombchu: This is a moving bomb that once you put down, you really don't have that much control of. They are found to be useful as you go along through the Temples as an adult. You can buy these in the back alley of the market at night. ( You can use these as a child and as an adult.)

Bombs: ( Also can be used when a child and an adult) Obviously, they are used to blow up things such as fake walls or rocks that are too heavy for you to pick up.
You recieve bombs in Dogondo's Cave.

Link's Adult Weapons

Fairy Bow: This is a very useful weapon but you must have precise aiming. I suggest you use targeting when using this unless you have incredible aim. Once you get the hang of it, it's not that hard to use. If I'm correct, it can be found in the Forest Temple, but I'm not sure.

Fire Arrow: This is the First magic arrow you recieve. It will set anything it touches on fire. It uses up some of your magic when you use it, so use it carefully. You recieve this arrow at Lake Hylia after you beat the Water Temple.

Ice Arrow: This is the second magic arrow you recieve. You get it at the end of the Geraldo Training Course. Even though I have not found a significant use for this arrow, I'm sure it is used for something. I'm sorry I can't help more with this arrow.

Light Arrow: This arrow is the final magic arrow that you recieve. It is given to you by Zelda in the Temple of Time after you complete all the Temples. It is extremely useful when going against the Final Ganondorf and and Ganon.

Ocarina of Time: This is a very powerful instument that you recieve from Zelda after you get all three of the Magic Stones and return to the castle. This instrument is used to open the door of the Temple of Time. It can also be used to warp to to other places. Also, can open doors and reveal secrets.

Scales: There are two kind of scales that you can recieve. The first one is the one you recieve as a child. This is the Silver Scale. It lets you dive deeper in the water. You recieve it when you play the diving game in Zora's Domain. You recieve it as a prize if you win. The Sencond scale you recieve is the Golden Scale. You recieve this as an adult when you go fishing at the pond in Lake Hylia. If you catch a fish that is 15 pounds or more, you will recieve the Golden Scale.

Stone of Agony: This is a gift that you recieve from the Skulltula Family in Kariko Village. After you kill 20 Skulltula Spiders, go back to the Skulltula Family house in Kakariko Village and they will give you a reward for killing 20 spiders which is the Stone Of Agony. If you have a rumble pack, this stone will make your controller rumble everytime your near a hidden treasure or hidden door.

Hookshot: This weapon is found in the Gravekeeper's Grave in the Graveyard in Kakariko Village. You must complete the course he has set out for you to recieve it. It is used to scale terrains or hook onto branches high above you. You can not enter the Forest Temple without this weapon. It can also be used to kill enemies.
You can later upgrade this to the Long Shot.

Lens of Truth: You can find this item in the bottom of the well in Kakariko Village. This lens must be retrieved as a child. It can reveal hidden doors and false walls and also hidden treasure chests. You can not enter the Shadow Temple with out it.

Megaton Hammer: This is a very effective weapon that you find in the Fire Temple. This hammer moves and crushes big rocks and can activate rusted switches.

Bottle: Bottles can carry medicines, milk, bugs, Blue fire, Poe Ghosts and many more important objects. You need at least one to complete Zelda correctly. You can't buy them, but by talking to people and looking carefully you can find all four. But, if you give up, look under the Secrets and Tips section for the detailed description of where they can be found.
