Alan Cumming was born in Perthshire, Scotland, and became fascinated with the arts. He made his film debut in the movie Passing Glory and his stage debut in The Conquest of the South Pole. For the latter, he was awarded 'Most Promising Newcomer'. |
Alan has been in many plays, earning many Oliver awards, and also a TMA award 'Best Actor' for his work in the play Hamlet. Alan was also in Cabaret, earning another Oliver award. He wrote and directed a short film named Butter just recently. | ![]() |
