A Day at a Dance.

"What would you do if I were to give you a rose?" the man asked with a small, apparational voice. "Would it be too much if I asked you for this dance in return?" The well-defined man scathes the edge of your cheeks with the infant rose bud's petals, ever so tickling you to cause you to giggle with affection. His other palm rests outstretched waiting patiently for yours to take hold. Out of reluctance you accept his humble offer, and together with dazzling grace you slowly step out to the dance floor. Pulling his weapon out of his hand, you take the rose into your own set of fingers as you rest your arms on his shoulders, and his around your waist. How oblivious his eyes seem to stretch, it is no wonder that you are instantaneously lost in the swirls of color that surrounds his pupils. Staring back at you, he almost smiles at your humbleness but like a coward hides it. Holding it back with all of his strength, you smile at him to break this nonsense and to seek out any pleasant treasures within him. The first you notice immediately as he smiles back are the cutest pair of dimples that you've ever seen. As a direct proportion, your smile enlarges as does his, and he asks you, "What?" with a bright smile on his face. Shaking your head, you whisper, "Oh, nothing" with a large grin on your face. Even the best con artist could not have done a better job.

The song changes to one that you used to play in your head whenever you saw your crush walking past you in the hallway when you were in high school. Simultaneously, you both blurt out, "I love this song..." as you then stare at each other with great curiosity. Almost by instinct, the two of you step a half-inch closer together due to that odd comment. As the song progresses, time begins to slow down until all that is moving is the two of you. Just as the song begins to fade away and time starts back up again, your lips collide together with his, enchanting the floor beneath you. From that day on, love found you both, and the floor beneath you became hallowed ground.
