Time and Creation
I think I've tried more than a million times,
And spent my share of nickels and dimes,
Trying to find that perfect girl.
They all seemed to act so confused,
But I already knew that they've refused.
When will I find the oyster that holds my pearl?
How can girls be so cold?
Some aren't as bad, so I've been told.
Then where are these girls that don't exist?
My friends yelled "Patience!" day by day.
Their words took hold, and I began to pray.
From that day forth, patience was my catalyst.
Girls were not something at all for me.
God had another thing in mind entirely.
Oh, how much more beautiful women were!
I met my wonderful bride at the store.
She's quite different now from the years before.
Thank you friends and God for showing me her.
For an oyster to make them, it is winter, spring, summer, and fall.
But for a human to take them, it is no time at all.
