drill - for the most part i enjoy #martial very much
its not going to happen.
drill:i think the problem is, some times the channel has soo ew people in it, thats martial talk isn't really all that fun
You can't force people to talk about something.
i think you run the channel fine, but i am not on all that often anymore... i think, that if someone is complaining about there not being enough martial arts talk, all they have to do is mention a topic, or whatever, and everyone is happy to talk about it...
the only thing i dont like is when someone seriously disrespects others - and i dont mean just jokin around
well Dragon that is what the ops are for to deal with that sort of thing

yeah sometimes people do act pretty crappy, mostly towards people with styl;es that the other might not think is so good...
Not true. There was a time in #Martial when even if there were 5 ppl in channel there was good conversation. We almost never have fewer than 8

i think that if people have topics to talk about in martial arts, they will be talked about, otherwize... if no-one is instigating martial conversations, what do people expect?
I'm saying this channel was more popular and more enjoyable when it had a purpose and a future
i think the gatheing of martial artest with common inturest is more important then the actualy talk of the arts all the time

That isn't what this channel is founded for, that isn't what this channel is about. This is #Martial. This is not #MAsocialclub. This is the Virtual Dojo. The respect shown to each other here should be the respect you would show in a Dojo
we get instruction at our classes - and if someone asks a direct question - it is usually answered -
if there is not a topic concerning martial arts that put forth for conversation, people arent just gonna sit here and say like: "punch, kick, jointlock", just so they can be talking all martial all the time

Gauz, I'm saying that if you're here you should be trying to participate in the conversation. What other reason do you join a chanel but to participate in the conversation?
First of all, you should get rid of those annoying automated greetings.
Second you should stop the flooding.
I think the point of a channel such as this should be pretty clear ... it is a place where people interested in or actively participating in MA , for however long be it 6 months or 16 years can come together and learn from each other
I mean, who wants to read the same "blah blha blah bows to blah blah blah" as often as anything good.
It sometimes seems like there are more greets and useless crap than actual conversation.
it is a unique opportunity, to be able to gain access to such a wide and diverse mixture of MA backgrounds
