The Rules and Guidelines of the Anime Dojo

Rules and Guidelines:

Rules of battle:

1) Fight Fair Whenever you attack, you let your opponent choose however he/she wants to take your attack. Vice versa if your opponent is attacking you. You can't "force" your opponent to take damage in your posts (more on this later). You gotta give him/her a chance to respond to your attack. However, you can say what your "intended" damage is. For example, you can post:

*He makes a quick low sweep, hoping to make Goku lose his balance.*

instead of:

*He makes a quick low sweep, sending Goku to the floor.*

2) No Zippy Fighting This what this basically means is: no bad Role-Playing. Zippy posts such as the following are not welcomed by other fighters.

*shoots a energy disc at him, slicing off his head.*

or:

*Takes a blade and slices his arm off*

However , there is an exception to this rule: when you are just messing around with good friends and just having some silly fun.

3) Beware of God-moding Even if your character is a god or a goddess. This means that you may not have your character be all powerful and refuse to take damage. Everyone can be hurt, and everyone can die from battle. Complications of this rule arise such as when a Super Saiyajin character from DBZ fights lets say a character from Ranma. That issue will be addressed in detail in other parts.

4) Avoid teleportation This goes hand in hand with no god-moding. Teleporting is very cheap; if your character has teleportation ability, do not abuse this by teleporting out of every situation. Use it reasonably. This also goes for any other cheap abilities, such as HEALING. Try not to depend on these abilities too much.

5) Be realistic During battle or just rping in general, don't make your character do outrageous things or act in a way he/she would not act in the actual Anime. In other words: stay in character. However, you can have your character develop and have his attributes to be different than in those of the Anime, but there must be sound reasoning behind this, and the process of his/her development should be believable.

Suggested Guidelines for your posts:

1) When your character is doing some type of action other than talking, put the action between asterisks ( * ), so people can tell the difference of what your character is saying and what he/she is doing.

2) When you are posting something that you (not your character) is saying. Put the out-of-character (OOC) comments between double parenthesis ((like this)). This is so that people will know that is it you (not your character) that is saying or doing something. If you go into a long period of not being in character, just put the initials OOC right in your tag line so people will know.
